Pepino Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Our first time trying pepino last night and we were NOT disappointed. My son (6.5 yo) fancies himself a pizza connoisseur and loved the pizza - he ate a whole pizza by himself! I had a rare ribeye that is Thai beef so a bit chewy but the flavor was great and house-made Gorgonzola sauce was great. My daughter ate over half of the large bowl of Rosa w/spaghetti noodles. My parents ordered the Autumn Salad and Meat lovers pizza which truly was filled with meat. The pizza crusts were great. For dessert the chocolate lava cake and churros with chocolate sauce were divine. Always good to find a place that can feed picky kids and the adults in the family! Fantastic food, customer service and atmosphere! My family has eaten at Pepino's twice since arriving in Chiang Mai less than 2 weeks ago, and we will be eating there many more times during our stay. The selection is incredible and the food is delicious! The Onion Sauce Pizzas are amazing, my Thai wife (who's lived in the USA for the past 18 years) raved about the ribeye with peppercorn sauce, and both of my 11 year old twins can finish an adult portion of Penne with Fuego Cream Sauce (ground beef and fresh peppercorns) in a few minutes because they love it so much. My son said that their hamburger (admittedly not an Italian offering) was the best he's ever eaten. The owner Phil is the nicest guy you'll ever meet and it's obvious that he cares about serving the best, most-delicious food possible. My son leaned over to me after he finished his dinner and said, “Dad, are you gonna rate this place? Service was a 5, and the food was a 5.” I agree with him wholeheartedly. When we walked into the restaurant, a team of staff welcomed us and got us situated at our table. It was a marvelous team effort for the rest of the night. We were well cared for. The food was good also. We ordered a lot of food and took some back home. We got the meatball pizza, the Pepino pizza, seafood pasta, carbonara pasta, the Caesar salad, the Greek salad, a crepe, and drinks. We liked everything although the Greek salad was the most boring item. It had no salad dressing and was sparse with feta cheese. I wish my fam had been to this place much earlier during our time...
