This hotel is beautiful. If you love art, beautiful views and a really large, comfortable room then you can't go wrong at this beautiful riverside hotel.
Unlike many hotels in Thailand this hotel is PET FRIENDLY. I travelled with my 25kg Bull Terrier and he was was as warmly welcomed as me (see the photos)
My room (river side)- The bathroom is well designed, there is a bathtub, great water pressure, super soft towels, huge mirror. You will see it's really thoughtfully designed and appointed. The beds are really soft, it reminds me of the beds at Sofitel. Also my river view room was really quiet (no car noise and no aircon air compressor noise you often hear in smaller hotels.) Also the black out curtains really work! All the other details like USB power and power sockets on each side of the beds, tasteful room lighting and cute art in every corner waiting to surprise you, it's all there.
Hotel Lobby & Surrounds • It's called the River Art Hotel because it's literally filled with art. If you love art and all things quirky you will enjoy exploring all the floors of the hotel • The lobby is a unique experience and I am sure you won't see anything else like it in Thailand. In matches the Chiang Mai vibe of an artsy city. • There is an infinity pool on the 2nd floor which has a mountain view, I enjoyed the sunset from here with a beer at the poolside • The front of the hotel has 3 tiers which work their way down to the Ping River. Its like a rainforest as you walk down through the gardens. The first tier has alfresco areas for breakfast, 2nd tier has a bar and DJ in the evening, and the last tier is the riverfront its self where you can chill on the waterfront or they have free kayaks and you can go for a paddle.
This is one of my longest reviews but I wanted to take the time to give more details on what makes this place unique. And you can see this Hotel has a really high rating , with which I concur, it's...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the River Art Hotel, and let me tell you, it is a true gem! The beds in this hotel are absolutely comfortable, unlike any others I have encountered in Asia. The softness and plushness of the beds ensured that I had a wonderful night's sleep, allowing me to wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
One of the standout features of this hotel is the abundance of fun things to look around at. The hotel has a unique and artistic ambiance, making it a delight to explore and discover various artworks and decorations. The quiet and cozy atmosphere further enhances the overall experience, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The breakfast at the River Art Hotel is truly a treat. The selection of food is impressive, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. Whether you prefer a hearty meal or a light bite, the breakfast spread has something for everyone. The staff at the hotel is also worth mentioning - they are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Their warmth and professionalism contribute to the overall peaceful and welcoming environment of the hotel.
Location-wise, the River Art Hotel is conveniently situated not too far away from the main attractions. A quick taxi ride will easily take you to all the must-visit places in the area. This makes it a perfect choice for travelers who want to explore the city without any hassle.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the River Art Hotel. It offers a unique and comfortable experience with its plush beds, artistic ambiance, delicious breakfast, and wonderful staff. Whether you are seeking tranquility or adventure, this hotel is sure to exceed your...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed in River Art Hotel in December (2018) for 2 weeks, and enjoyed every second. Its decor' is weird, strange and quirky but all in a very good and funny way. The rooms are excellent, large with wonderful big beds, baths and powerful hot showers. The balcony view was beautiful of the garden leading to the river, and I spent hours watching the flowing Ping, also fishing here a few times as well which was great fun (angling note: avoid feeder and ledger - too many snags. Shallow trotting, mid-water lure and fly work well) The staff are the most pleasant, well mannered, friendly and helpful people I have seen in a hotel, and they go out of their way to please. My wife and I are not really breakfast people, usually a few coffees and we are set, but in this place breakfast became a great start of every day. Along with its never ending supply of juice and coffee, breakfasts were lovely and fresh. The location is wonderful, much further out of town than we usually stay, but that was not a problem thanks to Grab and the amount of Chiang mai public transport. As we like a few beers in the evening we soon found The Bridge Bar which is about 200m up the road - cheap beer, great food and live music. Or for dinner walk about 300m down the road you will find Paak Dang Riverside Restaurant, lovely food but go early or book and it can get very busy. There are more places in the are but we found these two to be perfect for us.
River Art Hotel for me is heavenly, and will be...
