Heard about this restaurant from a video posted by Mark Wiens on YouTube. Decided to seek it out as by both myself and the wife enjoy seafood. The food was excellent and consisted of crab in yellow curry, shrimp sauteed with garlic and pepper, clams, pak bung and rice. A little expensive because of the crab which was not that big for the price (although understandable considering we are in Chiang Mai). One star lost as the chef was a little too enthusiatic in breaking up the crab resulting in too many bits of shell in the sauce. It is located to the east of Kham Thieng plant market and Tesco Lotus on the Ping river just south of Route 11. It sits in a culd-de-sac which makes parking difficult so best to park on the main road and walk in. As you enter the culd-de-sac it is directly opposite with entrance not readily apparent.

พี่สาวแนะนำไปร้านนี้ จากคนแนะนำมาอีกทีว่าร้านนี้ทำเมนูซีฟู้ดดีงาม ห้ามพลาด! เราไปกีนเร็ว เพราะไม่อยากแออัด ช่วง peak hour เลยไปถึงร้านตั้งแต่ 5 โมงเย็น ที่จอดรถ: เห็นว่ามีที่แค่ 2 คัน จะหาที่จอดยากหน่อย แต่เราเห็นมีที่ว่างริมถนน ตรงปากซอยว่างพอดี และเห็นพอมีที่จอดอยู่ เลยสบายๆกันวันนี้ ร้านเลิศรส ใต้ร่มมะเฟือง เก่าแก่มากกก ตอนไปถึง เข้าใจว่าร้านไม่เปิด! แต่ไม่ใช่ หน้าร้านเป็นแค่ที่เก็บของ และให้เดินผ่านเข้าไปทางครัว และที่นั่งทานอยู่ด้านหลังร้าน 😁นั่นเอง ที่นั่งเยอะ คนไม่เท่าไหร่ มีคนรออาหาร take away อยู่แค่นั้น เราไปหาที่นั่งด้านในกัน และรอดูเมนู เมนู - มี 2 หน้า หลากหลายอยู่นะ ลงราคาไว้ชัดเจน แต่ตัวอักษรก็จะเล็กๆหน่อย สำหรับ สว. 🤣ต้องเพ่ง ซูมๆกันไป อาหารไทย ซีฟู้ด มาเยอะ ตั้งแต่ กั่ง ปลาหมึก ปู ก้ามปู กุ้ง ราคามีแอบอรง จานละ 800.- แต่ด้วยปูม้าหมด เราก็ไม่ได้ตั้งใจไปสั่งด้วย เลยจัดมา 3 เมนู อาหารออกค่อนข้างเร็ว เหมือนคุยเล่นแป๊บเดียว สามจานก็ยกมาเสริฟแล้ว ข้าวผัดปู จานเล็ก - จานนี้สุดยอด ผัดได้หอมกะทะ ร้อน ออกหวานหน่อยๆ เคลือบข้าวมาทุกเม็ด ปูสด กินไปชมไป ว่ามันดีๆ จริงๆ จานนี้ไม่ควรพลาด คนผัด วัตถุดิบ และวิธีการผัดของเค้าดีจริงๆ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 กั้งผัดพริกเกลือ - เครื่องเทศใส่มาแบบจัดเต็มในจาน ทั้งใบมะกรูด เม็ดพริกไทย พริก ผัดมาดี เนื้อกั้งสด ทั้งตัว กินสองคน จานดี ทานเพลิน แต่ต้องเป็นคนที่ชอบเครื่องพวกนี้ด้วย รวมถึงชอบทานกั้ง เรานี่ ยิ้มมม อร่อย 🤤 ต้มยำ กุ้ง - สั่งแบบน้ำใส ตั่งใจมาลอง แชะทานง่ายๆแบบซุป แต่นี่เล่นซดน้ำต้มยำจนเกือบหมด ไม่ห่วงมะนาว บีบ ปรุงมาจนเข้มข้น เปรี้ยว อร่อยมาก ที่สำคัญ กุ้งที่ใส่มาก็สดมากด้วยเช่นกัน 3 จานนี้ ทำเราสองคนพี่น้อง ชม ไม่ขาด และยิ้มไปทานไป 😊มื้อนี้ รวมน้ำเปล่า ราคา 650.- กับคุณภาพที่ทำอาหารออกมา แต่ สิ่งที่ขาดของร้านนี้คือ vibes ในการดูแลลูกค้า 😅 คือ ตอนที่ไปนั่ง ในร้านค่อนข้างร้อน และสถานที่คือทียุง ร้านไม่สนใจเปิดพัดลม หรือถามอะไรลูกค้ามากมาย เป็นสไตล์โบราณ ที่ถ้าทำได้ดีกว่านี้จะ perfect เลย เรานั่งทานไป เกาขาไป เพราะโเนยุงรุมกัดกัน 😅😅 ร้านรับเงินสด และไม่มีทำ delivery แต่ โทรสั่ง และมารอรับอาหารเอาเองได้จ้ะ สรุป ร้านเก่าแก่ ที่ตกทอดสู่รุ่นลูกๆ รสชาติอาหารดีงาม ร้านไม่ได้ตกแต่งอะไร ด้านหลังติดน้ำ เหมือนจะเป็นบึง และมีต้นไม้ซึ่งเดาว่าคือต้นมะเฟือง อยู่หลังร้าน แระนำๆ ไปลองทานกันนะคะ เตรียมยาฉีดกันยุงไปด้วยน้า มันดุมาก! 😂

Way too overrated. I arrived at 6pm when restaurant open at5pm and I order crab meat fried rice and crab meat curry. I was told that they ran out of the crab meat and asked if I want to switch to prawn fried rice and Crab claws curry which I agreed too. After all the dishes served. Crab claw curry arrived 45 mins later and I have to asked twice. They open for 1hour how can the ingredients ran out when they promote so much about crab meat? Service is horrible but I guess when you confident about food no one cares about service which is understandable. But toilet and hygienic is totally not acceptable. They famous because of the influencer review and they serve the best quality on screen........ Not recommended

This old building houses a restaurant with an open space in the back. The food dishes are quite visually appealing, but the flavors may not be fully infused into the meat or vegetables, resulting in a lackluster taste. The menu features a variety of dishes, all written in Thai. There’s a small parking lot nearby in an alley. Crab curry and prawn kaprao are delicious. The woonsen salad is a great value for the size, it’s quite spicy. The romano flat green beans are fresh, but the flavor doesn’t mixed well yet after cooking, so can appears like tasteless.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner at this local seafood restaurant by the river. Our favourite was the the crab fried rice was made with generous pieces of fresh crab leg meat. The stirfry vegetable dish with oyster sauce was simple and tasty. The casual open air dining area was set up with lots of fans mounted in multiple locations to keep diners cooler in the covered area and balcony. The restaurant is non descript with no apparent signage so it was harder for us to locate. However, it was worth the trek given the quality and value of food offered.

Authentic and delicious sea food The restaurant is quite hard to find. Maybe the photo of the entrance will help you. When you enter you the house you pass the motor cycle parking then the shoo storage then the kitchen and finally you get to the riverside terrace. It's a simple restaurant but the food is authentic Thai and truly delicious. The staff is very friendly, and the price level is reasonable.
