For the low price, I thought it deserves 4 stars but changed my mind after completing the stay. There are definitely good things that make it competitive in town. The hotel is newish. The lobby has a common area to work (if you don't mind being in a public area to work). The room is reasonably comfortable with a large TV and built-in hair dryer. There are around 150 TV channels and this hotel must be congratulated for providing some foreign-language channels in their original language. You can at least watch a few Hollywood movies in English, though the vast majority are still dubbed in Thai. This is highly unusual for a 3-star hotel, what more when the guests are 100% locals. The bathroom is adequate, though the shower is only very partially covered, resulting in water being splashed across the whole bathroom. The main problem is noise -- not from outside the building but from inside. The walls are super-thin. Even though my room was at the other end of the hallway from the lift, any time anyone walks out of the lift or opens any room door, it is loudly heard. The TV in the next room is also loudly heard. I had to use earplugs to sleep every single night, despite the hotel being in a very quiet area away from a side road. The other issue is that the staff are unfriendly -- both reception and housekeeping. They really seem unhappy to work here. Breakfast is typical inedible Thai 3-star hotel type. Overall, it is an OK place to stay, with some perks, if just looking for a cheap place to stay while on business -- almost all guests seem to be on business, or on the...
Read moreRooms are clean and no bad smell at all. We had a room with a AC and a fan (mounted on the wall). Both with acceptable noise emission. We slept two days. We didn't wanted room service. We still got water waiting Infront of our room for us to pick up. That's nice . We wanted some fresh towels though. I tried to ask the reception in English. Unfortunately she needs more training. Also in checking whether I am a new customer who is asking or someone who just checked in. She thought I'm a new customer and wanted to charge me 200 Baht for the "extra" towels. Well to put the story in a nutshell. Just leave someone who speaks Thai to handle the "extra" service. What I did and at the end we got everything we needed 👍👍
Besides this misunderstanding we were very satisfied with rooms, security, location (not far from walking street market) and regular...
Read moreThe location is central to pretty much every good restaurant and Central Department Store. Only takes a few minutes by car to places. The room is acceptable, not too small with all basic amenities covered. Staffs are quite friendly. However, there is a bit of issue with cleanliness especially the rooms on the front side of the hotel as they are more frequently booked. These rooms face west though which makes them rather hot in the afternoon/evening. I would rather get a room in the back but this side faces the temple which some could be scared of. Breakfast is covered with the room fee and the food is basic but edible. The wifi connection is good. There're enough parking spaces. There's a noise insulation between rooms some you can only hear the noise from the hallway. Overall, I have a decent stay with a pretty good value to...
