Never imagined we would experience such RUDE behavior from the resort's reception. Checkout time is at 11 am, this was mentioned to us while checking in. We stayed there for 3 nights. So by mistake, we forgot about it on the day of check out. The landline in the room was dead from the moment of check-in. They could have simply come to our room early in the morning on the evening of the day before about it. Around 11.30 am a lady from reception came in at our room and started shouting with utmost rude behaviour. She was to the extent of hitting my wife as she was standing by the door. As per her statement, she called us several times (on a dead phone by the way) to remind us about the check-out time. Another lady came in to ask us whether we will check out in the morning but no reminder from her as well. A simple reminder would have helped to avoid this horrible experience. She even threatened us to leave the room within 10 mins otherwise we need to pay a fee of 2900 baht. I really hope some higher authority from the management team learns about it and takes proper steps. I've been to Thailand over 20-25 times but never experienced such awful behaviour. This ruined the whole experience of our stay. She even said that all of us Indians are lazy and we do late checkout. By luck, I met another group at the coffee club joint who were from Ahmedabad and staying in the same resort. They had the same experience and ended up paying a fine of 200 THB. Even they had to hear the "...you Indians..." statement. Not sure why she has so much grudge against Indians. So I request the higher authority to make sure the staff goes through proper training to not to bring up any Ethnicity or Culture. It's not about the money you see, a lot of Indians will be happy to throw a few bahts on their face but again we do not come from...
Read moreCurrently staying at this hotel, 13th May - 16th May and can’t wait to check out!|Easily one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. Room 3008.||Booked a ‘Luxury Double Room’, their idea of luxury and my idea of luxury are obviously on different ends of the spectrum.||- The mattress has absolutely zero spring in it and is like sleeping on concrete.|- The roller blind in the bathroom was absolutely covered from top to bottom in stains, and I don’t even want to know what half of them may be.|- The ceiling fan in the bathroom being held up by tape.|- A choice of traditional shower head or rainfall shower head, but in actual reality there is no choice as the rainfall shower head doesn’t work.|- Blood splashes on the walls, chipped paintwork and cracks.|- Someone has clearly had fish in the fridge at one point and has not been left to air, which is then making its way into the living area.|- The pool opening times are between 10am-9pm which nobody monitors so people in the pool at any time day or night, which affects your sleep as the balcony opens up right onto the pool area.|- Feels as though the maids do anything in their power to make as much noise as possible first thing in the morning to wake people up, never slept past 8am.|- The ‘breakfast’ is absolutely shocking, only real good choice is eggs. They do have waffles which has sweetcorn running through it, the most bizarre combination I think I’ve ever come across.||Don’t be fooled by the photos on the websites as it looks absolutely nothing like that, so run down and needs a massive overhaul. I also felt as though it was quite unclean throughout...
Read moreAmazingly location beautiful pool with the most awesome views across Phi Phi.
The rooms are huge with a small kitchen (no cooking, just microwave) decent size fridge, comfy lounge, comfy bed and we had an outdoor area right next to the pool which was a great spot to hang out. Rooms are a bit dated but still in okay ondition.
Location is about a cruisey 10 minute walk from the pier which we thought was a great location as it was a really nice walk back to the hotel after dinner. Phi Phi has so many bars and restaurants within 10 minutes walk from Cliff Beach Resort. The resort also has a small boat that will take you back to the pier on your return. We didn’t see it on our arrival at the pier.
Beach out front of the hotel is absolutely stunning when the tide is in. Beautiful water, beautiful scenery!!!
Breakfast was pretty average, don’t get me wrong, you can still get something to eat at breakfast even for vegan/vego it was just really average compared to all the other places we stayed on this trip in the same price range. These guys have plenty of room for improvement here. They had lots of options, just poor quality.
Yes, there’s monkeys at the resort. We saw them most days and never had an issue. Just make sure you don’t have food out while they’re around and make sure your room door is shut. Yes! They will go into your room, the hotel does warn you about this. And don’t feed them... you’re just adding to the confusion for these poor guys!
Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort has so so soooo much potential. Currently 2 maybe 3 star hotel in a 5 star location. For the price it’s an okay stay because the location and view are...
