The Nakara — Hotel in Ko Samui

Firstly, the map on booking.com for this property is completely wrong. It took us nearly 2 hours to find this place because it lead us in the wrong direction. Many of the thai people we tried to talk to were rude and not accommodating. Gratefully (and after a 1.5 hours) we ended up finding a lovely thai lady who took us in her truck directly to the property. ||Secondly, when we got to Nakara residence there was apparently no confirmation of my booking, even though I paid a deposit for 2 separate deluxe rooms. This was upsetting. They said the rooms were available proceeded to charging me the full fee for the deluxe rooms. Following her to the rooms it was apparent that they were not the rooms I initially booked and realized we were charged an expensive fee for a very dirty joined 2 bedroom room without a door. ||-bathrooms had hair everywhere from previous tenants||-wifi didn't work||-air conditioning leaked (badly) which made the room smell of mold.||-non of the staff spoke English so difficult to communicate||-refused to give refund for downgrading the room.||-insects everywhere, including gekkos getting through little holes in ceiling. ||||Be prepared for disappointment if you end up booking here. The location was 30 minutes for the main restaurants and bars, but that will be least of the problem....

From the outside it seems very nice, even when we saw our room it looked nice but we quickly realized it had no hot water, that was when the water was even running. The sink was broken and ready to fall over and we had a sewage smell go through our room when the rooms next to us used the shower. Save yourself the trouble and...

Never again, the whole place smells mold and there are bugs everywhere in the room, centipedes, cockroaches, mosquitoes everything. Also the room wasn't clean and the mattress was loud and uncomfortable. The whole place looked like it could use a complete refit. There are a lot of better places on the island for...
