The hotel actually exceeded my expectation! Good value for the money. We had a superior room, the design was very nice - everything wooden and Thai style. The room was spacious and with the view to the river, it was very beautiful during sunset and sunrise. The hotel is surrounded with greenery and you can hear birds singing, giving a feeling that you are somewhere in the jungle and not in the town. Tara park is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The staff was very friendly, with rather good English. The Internet connection was the best in Thailand, really good speed. However, once we had to ask to reset the router, because for some reason there was no Internet connection. The breakfast was very good, there were fruits, veggies, eggs cooked in different forms, Thai dishes, very good coffee. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Baan Andaman and Krabi town, and we regret that did not plan a longer visit to Krabi town. I liked it much more than Ao Nang, where we went next.||||Water pressure in the shower was really low, it was difficult to take a proper shower. During the hot day the water gets very hot and it it impossible to use the shower. The toilet flush worked not very good as well. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, there are no shops or restaurants nearby. At the same time, after one day you get used to a 15-20 minute walk from the center, and instead there are a lot of trees and birds surrounding the area. We had a room on the last floor, it is 4th floor, and there was no elevator. It would have been fine, but the staff did not help us with the suitcases, which were quite heavy. On the last day there was no electricity in the hotel for about and hour and a half, the air conditioning did not work and it was extremely hot...

Read moreBaan Andaman hotel is worth your stay. The lady at the front desk is super nice, humble and grateful for your stay. She offered to let us borrow 2 bicycles for free. We also ate dinner one time and the food was really good for a small price, and freshly cooked by a chef.
The room was spacious and has all the basics you need. A shower, a cold airconditioning, 2 person bed. The rooms are a bit dated and the furniture and also the bed is made of wood, so it is a bit squeaky at times. The mattress is hard and the pillow is also hard, as is usually the case in Thailand.
The location was close enough to walk to the pier / boulevard where there are some nice restaurants and a night market located. There are also longtail boats that can take you to see the cave, mangrove forest or take you to railey beach for about 400 baht one way 2 persons.
For breakfast you get coffee or tea and some snacks, the snacks are some chocolates / chocolate cookies. You can take as many as you like, but it's not a proper breakfast. You can also order breakfast 120 baht per person, but we have not tried. You get lots of free water also.
We were able to order a pizza one night and a taxi with the Grab app from there.
For the price you pay this is a great hotel and we booked 2 days extra because we were comfortable and the place deserves more business.
Con: the pillow was a brick, the AC...
