Krabi River Hotel — Hotel in Krabi Province

Great hotel the comfiest bed I've stayed in travelling Thialand so far and it's been a few weeks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the river and only costs 150 baht per person to get to Railay beach from right outside on the river by long tail boat which I highly recommend, I also went to Ao Nang beach by motorbike grab which was also a nice beach and a busy place. Was happy to stay in Krabi as I preferred to be in the less touristy places also really enjoyed the bar which is close by the hotel. The only thing I would say about Krabi River Hotel is that the restaurant upstairs didn't understand my vegan needs and struggled to accommodate me I don't know if that's a lack of communication but all I wanted was avo on toast from the menu and they Brough me croissant with scrambled egg and cheese so I used Google translate to explain to the staff that I didn't order that and all I wanted was toast with avocado no butter and they brought me toast with cheese on it and avo so I just ended up asking for my money back... such a shame because the roof top hotel restaurant and bar has only just opened up and looks amazing! I can't complain tho as that was a minor issue and I ate out most the time anyways that morning was just because I wanted breaky before my bus picked me up early to go to my next place... so must admit I was so hungry after having no breaky because of that but as for the hotel and my room I loved it! We booked a standard room on Agoda, which is showing on multiple pictures that it has a balcony. Therefore, I booked it. Simply because I wanted to have a nice breakfast on our terrace after a long flight.

When checking into the hotel, we were surprised that we had received a room without any balcony, completely different to what is shown in pictures. The staff said that Standard room does not have balcony on Booking.com, however I said I booked on Agoda.com and it was clearly showing balcony pictures and mentioned sea view. The staff and owner kept on neglecting this and refused to give us a room with balcony which we had booked. The proof was before their eyes.

As it was 10 PM and we were traveling for 40 hours, we decided to go for this room anyway. But I hope that with this review I can convince people to not book a room with these dishonest people.

As for the room, the air conditioning was dripping immensely the whole night which we barely slept through. The curtains don't close completely and so much daylight comes in in the morning.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Avoid.

EDIT: We were at the reception for 45 minutes trying to resolve this issue, but there was zero help from your side, always blaming Agoda for this mistake. It was YOUR room of YOUR hotel that was displayed on Agoda, with very misleading description and pictures. We booked a room with balcony, which was showing in description and pictures, and you did not give us one, and you did not even offer any solution when we are at the hotel, and also not when we contacted Agoda about this. So please tell me, how is that not...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was an excellent 10/10 experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. They helped us move our bags to out floor since there is no elevator. They were not only professional but also genuinely friendly and eager to assist with any request. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's location was also superb, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. I appreciated the convenience of exploring the city without any hassle. There is a spacious park just few hundred meters from hotel and it's great for evening walks near river. The attention to cleanliness, safety protocols and general mood of the hotel made my stay very comfy. In summary, this hotel provided a flawless experience that exceeded my expectations in every way.
