The Mud Crabs Sculpture — Attraction in Krabi Province

เขาขนาบน้ำ คือภูเขาหินปูนสองลูกที่ตั้งตระหง่านอยู่ริมแม่น้ำกระบี่ ลักษณะของเขาทั้งสองลูกตั้งอยู่ขนาบแม่น้ำ ทำให้เกิดภาพที่โดดเด่นและเป็นเอกลักษณ์ จนได้รับฉายาว่า “กุญแจไขเมืองกระบี่” ภายในเขายังมีถ้ำโบราณที่พบซากโครงกระดูกมนุษย์ยุคก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ และภาพเขียนสีโบราณ อันแสดงให้เห็นถึงประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนานของพื้นที่แห่งนี้ ผู้ที่ชื่นชอบธรรมชาติและประวัติศาสตร์สามารถนั่งเรือหางยาวจากท่าเรือเมืองกระบี่เพื่อชมทัศนียภาพได้อย่างใกล้ชิด

ถัดมาเพียงไม่ไกลคือ ลานปูดำ ซึ่งเป็นจุดชมวิวริมแม่น้ำกระบี่ ที่มีรูปปั้นปูดำขนาดใหญ่ตั้งเด่นเป็นสง่า ท่ามกลางฉากหลังของเขาขนาบน้ำ นักท่องเที่ยวมักมาแวะถ่ายภาพเป็นที่ระลึก เพราะที่นี่เป็นเหมือนสัญลักษณ์ของเมืองและจุดเช็กอินยอดนิยม ลานปูดำยังมีทางเดินริมน้ำให้เดินเล่น สูดอากาศบริสุทธิ์ และชมทิวทัศน์ของภูเขาและเรือหางยาวที่ลอยลำในแม่น้ำอย่างสงบงาม

Let me tell you about the giant mud crab sculpture in Krabi town, opposite the night market. This thing is massive! I'm talking about a crustacean that's bigger than most dogs. It's the perfect photo op for any seafood lover or crustacean aficionado.

Not only is the crab huge, but it's also beautifully detailed. You can see every little nook and cranny of its exoskeleton, and the Balck color really makes it pop. I have to hand it to the artist who created this masterpiece - they definitely put some serious effort into making it look realistic.

But the best part of the giant mud crab sculpture? It's a prime location for some hilarious photo opportunities. You can pretend to be getting pinched by the crab's massive claws or give it a big hug.

I don't know why it has taken me five and half years to post this review. But probably I was going through my timeline and saw this beautiful place across the streets of krabi. Not just that, people were dancing here and celebrating as we had just entered 2020. (Lil did we know that Covid was gonna enter our lives too)

We danced our way into 2020 with some great Thai music and very nice people who made way for us as we were the only Indians there amongst a group of locals. Had our wonderful time there and I still miss Krabi. One of my best New Year's time for sure.

PS: Wish I could add the videos but my wife's looking too hot so definitely decided against it.
