Mai Khao Home Garden Bungalow — Hotel in Mai Khao

I don't often stay in this part of Phuket but had to come here for work. I was very surprised with how great this place was. The staff were very nice and can speak English. I found it easiest to contact them through facebook or line app. Room was 1300 baht a night but was huge. Also an extra bunk bed in my room in addition to an already huge king bed. Tea and coffee facilities. 2 min noodles. A small minibar selection. 2 free waters per day. ||Massages availble. 2 pools and a sauna. 1 pool is on your doorstep and another over by the restaurant.||Wifi works fine throughout the property. The food is basic yet good. I enjoyed the Thai dishes.||The only issue that is apparent with this property is the secluded location. This is a great place if you want to be a bit away from the bustle of Patong. It is pretty much right in the centre of the island and surrounded by rubber trees and a few other properties. The only thing with this location is the exorbitant price of taxis throughout Phuket. With even 10 or 15 minute trips (about the distance to the airport) costing 500 baht or more if your unlucky. The good thing is that the property recommends a driver who lives nearby (Mr. Say) who is honest and reasonable. Scooters are also available to rent here which helps also. Grab taxi app is another option although you will need to walk outside the airport to get one as they are not allowed to enter.||Not a lot else to say. Standouts were certainly the friendly staff and the lovely surroundings.||Overall, very good for Phuket and would stay again if I needed to.||Also don't let the price fool you. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mai Khao Home Garden Bungalow during my trip to Maikhao Beach in Phuket, and I must say it was one of the best stays we had during our trip. The receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly, and the staff knew how to serve the customer with great care and attention to detail. The room was well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the service was excellent.

The location of the hotel was perfect, as we could easily access the beach and the sea (the airport viewpoint) in a short time. The proximity to the temple was also convenient for us, as it was just a short distance away. The location of our room was ideal, as we had easy access to the pool area, which was great for a quick relaxation.

Our stay at the hotel was just for one day and one night, but we enjoyed every moment of it. The food at the restaurant was extremely good, and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant had a great variety of dishes on the menu, and the quality of the food was top-notch. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious taste of the dishes and enjoyed the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine.

We booked Maikhao Home Garden Bungalows for a nights stay before we flew from Phuket Airport. The bungalows were comfortable and clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage on our last day and the staff let us use the shower in the massage room to freshen up before leaving for the airport. Our bungalow had a living room area with couch, TV and fan. The kitchen area had a fridge, microwave, sink and kettle. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and air conditioning. There is a 7-eleven a 15-20min walk away, and also some restaurants etc. Soi Dog Foundation is quite nearby and is a great way to fill time before heading to the airport. The staff offered us free hire of bikes or could arrange for scooter hire, tuktuk or taxi services.
