I went to Sky and Sea Restaurant to try some seafood, and I absolutely enjoyed my dinner there. It was not busy at all, so that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff was very kind and attentive, and I was impressed by the variety of dishes available on the menu. I’m sure you will find a suitable meal for your palate! It took me a while to decide what to eat, even though I knew I wanted the squid. I ended up ordering the mushroom soup, stir-fried squid with garlic, a coconut shake and banana spring rolls. I asked the server to bring the soup as a starter and the squid as the main, but he brought them all together. I didn’t mind that at all, though. The portions were generous, and the quality of the food was top-notch. I had such an amazing dining experience at a reasonable price. I also liked the decoration and the atmosphere of the place. I don’t usually carry a lot of cash with me, but they accept cards so that was very convenient for me. I highly recommend this place. It’s suitable for everyone: solo travellers, couples...
Read moreDisappointed with our visit. If you are hungry, this is not the he place to go! They made us wait for more thank 1 hour and finally I had to cancel the order and walk out of the restaurant because when I went near the kitchen, the lady from inside say she will do it in 10 minutes. There is one girl in waitress who speaks half cooked English who is running around the restaurant like a bee not knowing which table ordered who food. Then she shuffles the platters from one table to the other. Other two male owners or assistants don’t speak English at all. Went to 7-11 shop close by, picked up Bento boxes and then bid adieu to hungry tummy! Opposite to their restaurant there is MAMA restaurant which is much better and the waitress when we went was courteous to tell us that the wait time was about 50 minutes. These guys at Sky and Sea gave us no indication and we even at Charity even people don’t wait like this, contrary to the fact that we are...
Read moreNice little Thai restaurant in Mai Khao that offers a wide selection of Thai food. We ordered several dishes, papaya salad, a stir fried mussel dish, a spicy seafood salad and chicken wings. All were beautifully presented. The stir fried dish was the most flavoursome. The two salads were average, not great but not bad. Chicken wings (6), even though tasty, were tiny, very poor value at 150 baht. If you removed the meat from the wings you would be lucky to get one mouthful! With a couple of large bottles of beer and a watermelon shake we paid a total of around 850 baht, a reasonable price. The seating, bamboo, was not overly comfortable and the music was very off putting, drab seventies stuff that did not encourage us to stay, quite the opposite. Staff were professional, not overly friendly, but attentive. Menu available in English and Russian. Overall an enjoyable meal but on our next visit to the area we will probably give...
