Fantastic place to stay for a layover or needed a few hours of rest.
Upon arrival, I saw another tourist being attended by the avaguard attendee so I don't have to look for them to check in. Once communicated, I show my passport to her (she took picture) and she show me her tablet and ask me to look for my name. Once confirmed, she show me my capsule and ask me to key in my own preferred 4 digit code. The code can be used for the room and the locker.
I have an event that ended at 11pm and my flight was at 930am. If I were to check into a hotel and will have to check out at 6am and take a taxi to the airport.
By staying at the capsule hotel, I was able to check in at midnight, wake up at 7am and walk straight to check departure gate. So convenient.
The area even have 24hrs massage, relax corner and of course 7-11 to fuel our stomach.
The only down side is the toilets facilities. The toilet is at level 1 and has no shower facilities. So do plan ahead.
The room is a super single mattress format. When I am seated down, there is still about 30cm or space above me. The bed was hard. Although there is a mattress but it was too thin. The pillow was good. Firmness just right and they gave 2. The blanket was fluffy and comfortable. There was no smell in the room. I can hear people walking and trains moving. Overall is still quiet as it was night time.
When I woke up at 7am, the train has started and there were more people...
Read moreThe description on this capsule hotel is misleading. It is temporarily built in the basement of the airport, there is no reception area, no lounge, no showers and no bathroom on the same floor. All you get is the capsule and a locker for luggage. The public bathroom that belongs to airport is located on the first floor, it takes up to 3-5 min to walk and take escalator, and you have to wash your face and brush your teeth in the public bathroom. We saw some people actually keep urine in the water bottle outside their capsule, to avoid going to bathroom in the middle of night. For charging USD$120 for a couple, I cannot say it is worth it at all. There is a Novotel hotel in the airport with extra $25 for much elevated comfort. It is not queen bed as it claims, but it is the size somewhere between single and double size bed. Fan is noisy in the capsule and actually influence on sleeping quality. Wifi is quite slow too. Also this is a 24hr airport and the capsule is not sound insulated, so expect the noise coming from the hallway where travellers...
Read moreStayed here in July 2024 as a couple. About 5-7 minutes walk into the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport where you can walk around to various restaurants, shopping centers, metro station in the basement area. We reached by flight towards morning and were able to easily walk to the hotel with heavy bags. Our main purpose was to store our luggage and explore the city before our international flight back. Waited a while for check-in as no one was around, then configured the lock pin, and could leave our luggage in the storage and go sightseeing. We came back around 5pm and checked out. ||A nice, clean, compact capsule with basic amenities. Overall, a very short stay and would recommend staying here if you want to sleep for a few hours before your flight or leave your luggage safely as this was just perfectly located in the airport, decent capsules and value for money! Thank you Avagard Capsule hotel and we would definitely...
