Onsen with Hansen 【温泉が大好きなハンセン】Onsen with Hansen 【温泉が大好きなハンセン】
Arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport at the unholy hour of 4 a.m., I was grateful to already have a booking at Boxotel. The location took some effort to track down—tucked in the basement, reached only after a long corridor—but once inside, the check-in process was quick and efficient. What surprised me was the requirement for a cash deposit in order to receive the key card. Fortunately, I had some Thai baht on hand, but in an increasingly cashless world, this felt outdated. On the brighter side, I appreciated the flexible policy that allowed me to extend my stay by an extra hour for 350 baht, which was exactly what I needed. The biggest drawback is the lack of an on-site bathroom; guests must walk back through the corridor and up to the first floor of the airport. After a red-eye flight, that extra trek felt longer than it should have. But once I returned to my compact, spotless room, all irritations faded. The bed was firm yet comfortable, the linens crisp, and the quiet atmosphere made it the perfect cocoon for a few hours’ rest. It isn’t luxury, but it delivers what truly matters in transit: a clean bed and precious sleep. 【Features】 🚃 Located inside Suvarnabhumi Airport (basement level, ~10 min walk from arrivals) 🛏️ Room: Small but clean capsule-style room with a bed and minimal space for belongings 🧼 Cleanliness: Spotless and well-maintained 📝 Check-in: Flexible (I pre-booked through Agoda and extended by one hour at the hotel) 🚿 Bathroom: ❌ No in-hotel facilities; nearest restroom is in the main airport terminal, ~5 min walk away 🙋‍♂️ Staff: Efficient, professional, but cash-only deposit required 💰 Value: Fair, with flexible hourly extensions (350 baht per hour) 🚉 Location: Inside airport, convenient once found but slightly tricky navigation 🔇 Quietness: Very quiet, ideal for rest 🛌 Sleep: Comfortable bed, great for a few hours’ nap 💰 Payment: ❌Cash only for deposit (room rate payable by card) 🔙 Would I visit again? ✔️Yes

This is a "capsule hotel" where you can rent rooms by the hour. The rooms are all singles and obviously quite small but the wooden interiors give them a warm feeling. The rooms are all at floor level, therefore there is no ladder climbing, unlike other capsule hotels. There is a small sitting area where you can read magazines and relax and a vending machine area with tables where you can grab a bite. It is all well decorated and the staff is very nice, as it is common in Thailand. The only problem is the bathroom, it is a bit far, about 70 meters down the hallway and it is in need of serious maintenance. It is the public bathroom of the airport railway station and mostly serves the airline offices in the premises. The Boxtel is a bit pricey though with prices starting at about $20 for a 2 hours stay. However, if you need a quick rest on a tight connection you can be in your room in less than 5 minutes after you clearer immigration. It is right behind the airport train station on the basement floor of the airport terminal.

Boxtel @ Suvarnabhumi Airport. I stayed there for 5 hours a few nights ago. Was 5 hours for 1550 baht total. Plus a 100 baht keycard deposit, returnable upon checkout. I loved it! I was going to do a full talk into the camera review, but was too tired. Very convenient if you don't want to stay in the city. Logistically easy to take escalator or elevator down to B Basement level of BKK. Look for the train station entrance and the signs for Airport Hotel. It will be very very quiet. Room was tiny, comfortable. Small seating area outside just for hotel guests, with coin-op vending. Very peaceful. Check-in process was simple too. Drawbacks: no private toilet. You have to walk down the hallway for public toilet, which doesn't have toilet paper or hose. But upon check-in the staff gives you a packet of toilet paper. I wish I had heard of this place a long time ago.

Boxtel is an in-airport short term transit stay facility that rent single bed room by the hour. The boxtel room at BKK hotel is along the passage way at the bottom floor from the BKK airport to the raillink. The sign to boxtel is visible once you reached the lower level of the airport. There are about a dozen such rooms along the passage way, and you arrange the rental from a 24hr reception facility nearby. |The boxtel room contains a single bed for a single person stay. There is no toilet, shower, or towel. The room is bare basic with a pillow and a comforter. The room at BKK airport costs 350 Bht per hour, with 4hr minimum.|The room is clean, and there is a doorstop at the bottom of the door for the purpose of noise reduction. We rented the room for 4hr from 2:30am to 6:30am. As the Bangkok rail doesn’t operate from midnight to 5am, the area is deadly quite for the first few hours. Starting from 5am, you can sense the arrival and departure of the subway, though if you use ear plug, the noise is minimum. |Boxtel provides a basic room at BKK airport so that you can lie down during the transit. The facility is basic. If your party have more than 1 people, you may consider other airport stay facility, e.g., the Prime Sleep facility at the...
