We had the absolute best experience at Indochine Resort Patong in the Ocean View Suite. The suite itself is phenomenal – spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a separate lounge room (sofa and TV included) where you can relax and even sign into your own Netflix or YouTube. The bedroom is equally impressive; the bed comfort is next-level. Each side comes with two pillows, but honestly, only one is needed because they’re that perfect.
The private pool was the highlight for us – ocean-facing banana lounges, a lockable gate for privacy, and the bonus of a jacuzzi. Having both a separate shower and toilet in the bathroom was convenient and practical. The jacuzzi, though, truly elevated the entire experience and felt like pure luxury.
The resort itself has some brilliant features. The hill is steep, but the hotel bus service makes it effortless to get between the rooms and the restaurant. Even better, the shuttle bus into the centre of Patong saves a fortune on taxis or bike hire (just remember to book your return time). That alone is a game changer.
Breakfast each morning was plentiful and well-prepared, with plenty of variety. As a Melbourne coffee snob, I was impressed by the coffee machine – not always the case at resorts! There’s also a restaurant on-site, or if you prefer, a 7-Eleven is just 200m away, and food delivery is a breeze.
The staff deserve a special mention. Friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful – every request we made was handled within minutes. Their attentiveness really added to how welcome we felt throughout our stay.
And regarding other reviews about noise – let’s be real: anywhere in Patong is going to have traffic and activity. It comes with the territory, and it’s certainly not a reason to mark this hotel down. If you’re after genuine peace and quiet, Patong isn’t the location for you. That’s something every visitor to Phuket knows.
In every way, this was an incredible experience – from the comfort of the suite, to the private pool and thoughtful resort features, to the service itself. We couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll absolutely be...

We booked a sky suite room with a plunge pool.
Bads:
Pool bar was missing. For some drinks and music around the pool. No gazebo in the pool for shaded seating in the pool. No direct view of sunset. Good view anyways. A little far from patong beach. Glass railing in front of personal plunge pool wasn't clean due to salt water spots thus hindering the view from the pool. No temperature control in the personal plunge pool.
Goods: Very much hospitable. Polite staff. Staff makes sure that your issue is resolved or in other words they put in good amount of effort trying to solve your problem. Rooms: spacious, well ventilated, neat and clean. Washroom: good enough with sufficient toiletries, towels, napkin and doormat. Balcony and pool: comfortable and ergonomic pool with a good view. It is a mini jacuzzi with water outlets and a shower on the wall. 6.Internal Shuttle service: Superfast. A minute away. They know how to use walkie talkies. Patong beach shuttle: they have a free to and fro shuttle to patong beach every two hours. This shuttle is pretty much on time. Welcome drink: it steals your heart after you come from the hotel weather outside. Breakfast: amazing variety, good Indian food options and nice vibe. Wifi: superfast.
Overall experience : it was a very comfy stay. They made sure that they do everything they can for their guest. We had no hot water in the shower, I called for assistance to the reception at 10:30 PM and the electrician and plumber both came, kept solving the issue until it was solved. They even sent a person to hold the luggage in the shuttle from rolling. I booked a private taxi to patong beach and driver has to be paid in cash seperately but he had no change, he smilingly agreed to bill it at reception desk.
Recommendation: value for money. (only if you stay and enjoy from your own plunge pool). We planned to spend the day in the plunge...
Read moreNot bad for room, facility, location and sea view but worse management. We received compensation nothing from a cancelled room in advance (We informed 2 days prior to stay 1 from 2 reserved rooms) and also got the wet room when arrived without staffs' care. Not recommend here in terms of the hotel service and management quality.
We booked for 2 rooms at full price, paid directly to hotel account (via the government campaign to help hotel during Covid) 2 months advance. Then 2 days prior arrival, we informed the hotel to cancel a room and asked to upgrade the remaining room, not asked for refund. The 'reservation manager' said it possible but have to ask 'accounting manager' to approve. No call after. When we arrived, the hotel manager told that the accounting manager hadn't approved. The room cannot be upgraded due to 'accounting reason', she insisted. I don't think this is the 'reasonable' and reflected how the management/process in this hotel work. The hotel staffs and manager were no any ability to applied to solve a general problem. I wouldn't mind at all if the reason would be 'the room is full', but actually not.
Consequently, we asked if the hotel can provide any voucher discounts to use hotel facility such as restaurant or bars. No response, no any offers until we check-out. That's mean we paid the standard room at 166% of usual rate I should pay for. This full rate was quiet higher than booking websites.
We opened the room 225 at 3.30 pm. and found that 1/2 of the inside about 60 sq.m. room, around the bed was 'wet'. We informed the concierge, no any apology or resolution offer. We had to ask them to organise and left for other activities.
It would be alright and satisfying experience if no any accidental changes. However, I think by the hotel management and the manager action + her giving reasons, this hotel charge overpriced and staffs were not professional and no service minds. I would not...
