What an amazing stay and unforgettable experience it was at Garden Cliff Resort & Spa because its the first time of all times we’ve stayed in Pattaya where we have our own Private and Clean beach. Ideal for families with kids, couples on romantic getaway and even groups of friends who would like a serene/idyllic/romantic stay aways from the hustle and bustle of the big city. As a 5 star hotel, it has all the complete amenity, toiletries and facilities that you need. With their grandious rooms, big infinity pool, gym, recreational activities, their newly opened Blue Dragon Cafe and lots of other restaurants/bar and of course Private Beach access nothing could get better than this.||The hotel is a bit far from Central Pattaya so its ideal for those with cars or tours but still not too far away. We booked a Deluxe room with Tub/Balcony for just over 100 SGD++ plus free breakfast at Agoda for an overnight stay so what a great deal it was for a 5 star hotel!!! Hotel offers outdoor parking for those with cars. At the center of the hotel as said is the Legendary Emerald Green statue of Mythical Sea Horses ran by a Golden Angel Warrior inside a fountain surrounded by lush tropical garden. There is a Deity at the backend of the rotunda facing the Horses and the Lobby of the hotel. Upon entering, you would immediately feel the Beach vibes of this resort with the infinite Sea over the horizon, the gentle sea breeze coming in and the spectacular sunshine. Since its Christmas season, there is a huge and tall Pastel coloured Christmas tree made from different colours, shapes and sizes of Fans what a creative idea. Check-in was smooth. and easy and we were booked at the 5F facing the Mythical Sea Horses. We arrived just upon check-in time at 2 PM. ||The room we booked is a massive Deluxe Room with Balcony but facing opposite the sea. We could imagine those who book the sea front rooms have higher prices but the pros for this room is privacy. Most of the tourists that day booked the sea facing rooms. At 32 sqm nothing could get even better than this plus you have a balcony and a humongous tub in the shower/toilet area. The toilet is right by the entrance and its a dry concept - shower near the toilet with a glass divider and tub on the opposite side near the sink and there’s a wooden glass panel window which opens to the main bedroom so what a classic and unique concept. The sink is massive and it a huge mirror. They provide full on container tubs for shampoo/body wash/hand wash. Towels are clean and comfy and water pressure is strong and heating is easy to use and working properly. The only thing is the tub where its quite big for short people, easy to fill up but we have issues with the stopper difficult to put out nevertheless the tub is one of the biggest ive tried. After the toilet is the mini-bar/wardrobe area where they provide small ref, complimentary bottled waters, cups, coffee/tea and kettle. They also have a safety lock provided which is a plus. There is a full body mirror across the mini-bar. Then the biggest part of our room is next which is the Bedroom - equipped with King bed, Flat screen TV with lots of cable/local channels, airconditioning which works perfectly, a Red lounge chair and under TV table/compartments to place your things and food, another mirror by the TV, bedside lamps, side tables, power outlets on both sides and a round glass coffee table. The bed is huge, clean and comfy but the mattress is a bit hard especially for those not into hard mattress. WIFI is fast and smooth. And finally, the balcony, our view is facing the main courtyard as stated above and the surrounding neighbourhood with lush Green trees. The balcony has wooden lounge chairs and table where you could hang also your wet clothes - so this is a plus for us especially for beach front resorts.||Then we tried their ammenities which is a lot so staying here by itself you have so many things to do. They both have 2 different types of pool, gym, spa, cafes/bars/restaurnts, kids area, games and a clean beachfront access. Our stay also have breakfast included which we took at their restaurant the Cliff with a view of the Gulf of Thailand. It was pretty crowded during breakfast time but they provide plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors and maintained the surrounding clean despite the crowd. We did the outdoor facing the sea and loved it. The cater both Western and Asian choices and all were so fresh, good and delicious. We loved the Thai rice noodles, Fried rice, Pastries and Eggs. Coffee is also perfectly brewed to pair with our yummy spread!!!||One of our highlights here is their beachfront access where Pattaya is famous for. Pattaya has long stretch of white or brown sandy beaches but the suitability and cleanliness depends on where you are. Since we are on the outskirts the beach here maintained its cleanliness, pristine and suitability for swimming. And yes indeed, it was very clean and not itchy to swim and very sandy so no need to use some extra protection for your feet. The only thing they miss are lounge chairs which they only have on the pool area - they could add a few as suggestion. ||Finally, the pool - they have a massive infiniy pool by the lobby area on the 2F. Very clean and has perfect Emerald Blue waters. The temperature is just perfect not too cold and warm. The pool is right at the center surrounding the lobby, villas and restaurants. They also have a small kiddie pool near the lobby for your kids to play around. The depth is around 1.4M for the big pool so the kiddie pool is perfect for kids who couldn’t swim. Lounge chairs surround the pool and they have a pool bar if you would like some drinks and deserts. They provide warm and clean pool towels as well. We took our lovely photos and videos both during daytime and nighttime especially the ones facing the sea and its one of the most memorable moment of our stay here!!!||During the night, we were surprised to see the Grand opening of their cafe and beach club - Blue Dragon. There was live band and electrifying lighting all throughout which is a bonus for our stay here!!! At the lower floor there is a small pool within the beach club as well but we didn’t try. There’s a magical and mystical waterfalls surrounded by Deers, Flowers and Plants with dazzling lighting giving some magical feel to the beach club. What a colorful and magical experience it was!!! Of course, we have to take our lovely photos and videos here for our memories!!! Toilets and shower areas are provided also near the pools. ||Overall, it was really a magical, wonderful and memorable overnight stay for us here at Garden Cliff Resort and Spa Pattaya!!! Kudos also tot he staff who were very friendly and helpful. So there if you’re looking for a nice beachfront access hotel aways from the crowds of Pattaya then look no furthers - Garden Cliff Resort and Spa is the pace to be!!!...
Read moreOur experience at the Garden Cliff Resort & Spa fell far short of expectations. While the property may present itself as a 5-star resort, it struggles to meet even basic standards of service and hospitality. Many issues contributed to our dissatisfaction:| 1. Poor Service: The staff appeared unresponsive and inattentive, leading to numerous frustrations throughout our stay. The level of service was far from what one would expect at a luxury resort.| 2. Subpar Standards: The resort’s amenities and offerings failed to live up to its advertised 5-star rating, making the stay feel like a poor value for the price.| 3. Location Issues: The resort’s beachfront location is relatively remote, which makes transportation a significant challenge. While the hotel provides a shuttle service to central Pattaya, it operates on a limited schedule and requires prior reservations. This lack of flexibility can be frustrating for guests who want to explore the city freely.| 4. Transportation Failures: On multiple occasions, the hotel failed to order taxis on time, leaving guests stranded at the property for hours. This unacceptable lack of organization further highlights the inadequacy of their transport services.| 5. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Several reviews pointed out issues with room cleanliness and general upkeep. Such problems are inexcusable at a property marketed as a luxury resort.| 6. Overarching Disappointment: Many aspects of the stay, from check-in to check-out, were riddled with shortcomings. Guests described their stays as “horrible,” “unfortunate,” or the “worst experience” they’ve had at a hotel.||In conclusion, Garden Cliff Resort & Spa may have an appealing beachfront location, but the overall lack of quality service, inconvenient location, unreliable transportation services, and failure to meet luxury standards make it difficult to recommend. A stay here may leave guests feeling frustrated and regretful rather than relaxed and...
Read moreWe came to this hotel expecting a 5 star hotel as stated on the website. Can’t say that it was close to a 5 star at all. The rooms were very dated and the smell coming from the bathroom was horrible. Also the staff on reception were very rude and it was like they didn’t want to help at all. All the other staff were good though especially down at the bar where they have just renovated (Toon and God were so nice) the renovations they’ve done to the bar area at the bottom are so nice and that was our favourite part of the stay. Without that I think we would have wanted to go to another hotel. Whilst we booked here we knew it was a little further out but they say on the site that they supply a shuttle service so we decided to go ahead with the booking. Once we got there and asked about getting the shuttle as we wanted to get into town and the lady at reception rudely said they don’t do it anymore and that was that. I asked another member of staff who said they stopped years ago so if your looking to book take that into account as the location is far out and it’s very difficult to get a grab into the main area. We did try the massage on site and that was very good (although a little pricey for Pattaya). We also paid extra for the breakfast but wish we didn’t as there wasn’t much to offer obviously everyone likes different things but not having bacon on was a big thing for us. So for anyone thinking of booking have a read of this as I wish I had read a review like this before I booked as I...
