Bamboo Beach — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Very nice location and potentially nice place for dinning with the nice ambient atmosphere. Food is OK. However the personnel lacks a fundamental training. There are plenty of them around doing literally nothing. Chit chat.

Firstly you sit down by the dirty table and wait for the menu too long. The waiter CAN'T see the dirty table so you have to inform him to clean it. So he comes over with the piece of rag and makes few neglect moves leaving the table still half dirty. So you have to show him EXACTLY where the dirt is and in the end you take your own wet wipes and clean the table on your own.

Then when you are ready to order you have to wave for them as they are too busy doing nothing to notice you. Otherwise you would have waited forever.

Lastly you wait for the bill. I was waiting 10+ minutes for the simple bill and it could have been more if I didn't get up and went to the cashier on my own.

Located right on the beach this restaurant and bar is worth a visit. We went for dinner, and had the added bonus of a spectacular sunset, and a fire show. We ordered papaya salad with salted egg, phad see yew, fried whole fish, and sticky rice. The papaya salad was delicious, the phad see yew tasty. The whole fish was overcooked and dry. It was lovely sitting by the beach eating dinner. Be aware that the tables are unsteady, and the table surface uneven - my drink nearly tipped over several times. I ordered a coconut smoothie. While smoothies are on the restaurant menu, a different vendor sells the smoothies and you have to pay separately when the drink is delivered. A lot of people showed up for the sunset, making the venue feel crowded. Once the sun had gone down it was quieter there. "This seaside restaurant with fresh, delicious seafood at reasonable prices, it's well worth the little bit of extra effort it might take to find it. The one drawback might be that the restrooms aren't as clean as they could be, but this is a minor issue in light of the overall dining experience.

The service here is commendable. The staff are courteous and attentive, always aiming to provide an excellent dining experience for their customers.

Moreover, there's a pool table available for patrons to use, which although may be a bit old, is a nice touch that adds to the laid-back, enjoyable atmosphere of the place.
