We had just a simple meal here on our first visit, chicken fried in holy Basil and vegetarian fried noodles. Both dishes were made to perfection: Basil leaves crispy, fried egg runny, vegetable in noodles plentiful, varied and crunchy. Just heard constant wowing from my woman during her meal, meaning she never had it better. The food as beautiful as it tastes, which is a general rule. This meal with two drinks in that elegant restaurant with genuinely friendly service was just 259 Baht. That is a very good price, a hotel on a similar level would charge double.
And nice: You can look through the newest Bangkok Post at table. Interesting articles sometimes!
As I heard later, the lady owner is the chef. She had been lucky to learn cooking from some outstanding chefs in Daytona, Florida. So the fine restaurant here is the reward of her having been in chef circles since young ...
The restaurant has got an impressive poster showing the horrible pollution of the sea by plastic. It hands out biodegradable plastic bags. That is all good. But I find if there is awareness of the environment, there should for the least be water on offer from glass bottles, or just free water? Of course that would make food a bit more expensive, but it is the only environment-friendly solution. Guests would have a choice to not have to drink water from plastic.
I am certain that Bow the lovely woman boss here will find a...
Read moreIt's convenient and comfortable but I found it to be overpriced and mediocre food. The music was cheesy and I'd prefer to have none than be subjected to it. The breakfast and coffee special I ordered for 270 baht consisted of one piece of dry toast cut in half, one piece of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, one cherry tomato cut in half and one piece of sad looking lettuce. The bread used is that cheap fluffy commercial sliced type full of sugar ie gross. If you want butter it's 15 baht extra and I also had to pay 10 baht extra because I wanted a cappuccino. I'm not sure why the coffee I chose was extra. There was no explanation. The one pictured on the menu looked no different. I mean if you want repeat customers this is not the way to go about it. Just include butter for the toast and give them the kind of coffee they want. Charging all the extras on top of the advertised price is just poor service. Never been to a restaurant in my entire life that charges extra for butter on the toast!! At the end of the day it's a very short sighted business practice because ultimately they...
Read moreI have always enjoyed the food at Blue Siam. Little over priced but very good. Unfortunately today I went for the set breakfast which includes a coffee. 300 baht which is considerably more than a similar breakfast in Pattaya. but I cannot drink coffee so asked for tea instead. This was refused saying it set breakfast. A tea bag been cheaper than coffee I could not see the logic here. And seeing how much you are paying for the breakfast and the service you normally get at Blue Siam very disappointing. We left to find breakfast with tea else where. Seems stupid to lose 2 customers and 600 baht over changing a coffee for tea :-(
Update 16-06-2022 return to perfection I returned to Blue Siam today because my day I have limited time to go further afield for the same good food. Trying my luck with changing the drink from coffee in the set breakfast again I was offered tea or juice straight away with no hesitation. What a very pleasant upgrade to the service and recaptured a customer who will be eating there 2-3 times a week again Thank you for the change in policy it’s most...
