My wife and I recently stayed here for 5 nights. Whilst a little dated, the room was spotlessly clean, large and well appointed. The view of the pool and beach from our balcony was fantastic. Breakfast was nice and on par if not better than you'd expect "at this price point". The location is quite but the cafe's and bars (if that's your thing") aren't far away! At the nearby Pattaya Park Night Market you can get very cheap/delicious food and drinks in a clean relaxed environment. The Hotel is huge with a very long driveway/ entrance but this is mitigated by the fact that the hotel operates a free shuttle golf cart. So it's not an issue. The direct access to the beach is fantastic and we spent a lot of time on the lounge chairs directly in front of this hotel. It cost 100 baht ($5 au) per person for a full day but it really is worth every cent. The operators take good care of you for that small fee. Now, what you may consider to be a "CON": There are a LOT of Russians in this hotel and in Pattaya, Jomtien and Thailand in general. We didn't really have a problem with this. They ignored us, we ignored them. I did attempt to communicate with a few, now and then but they seam to speak zero English and I speak zero Russian. This was fine by us and it caused us no problems at all. My observation was, they they don't even talk to each other either. And they rarely smile. A life of misery with do that to you I guess lol! All in all, we had a very nice stay here, we'd definately stay there again and would recommend this hotel to a friend. Final "Pro Tip". If you want a lounge chair by the pool, I suggest you get up early and reserve one ( throw a towel or tee-shirt/ hat on one) otherwise, Boris and Svetlana will hog...
Read moreWe stayed in the ocean view room. Views are great with an almost unobstructed view. If you don't mind a partial view I think the standard rooms are similar quality just without the view and you can enjoy the view from the pool anyway. Location is very good, being right opposite the beach. Not a swimming beach tho if that's important to you. About 200m to the right good 711 with shaded outdoor seating overlooking beach and then adjacent street lots of cafes, bars, restaurants and, most importantly, good cheap street food. Other direction about 2km pleasant walk along the beach brings you to main jomtien beach road with lots of cafes, bars, restaurants etc and also songthaew access. You can walk directly up to the main road from the hotel and this is a shorter walk, about 1km, but we preferred the longer beach walk. Pool is very nice, great temp. Staff are friendly and professional, appreciated on our first night there when I rang at 10pm for a thinner pillow and a friendly woman delivered one to the room a few minutes later. Ocean view room was spacious and well appointed. Shower was a bit slow to drain (room 3510) but didn't bother to complain. Quiet tho we were there in low season. Gym ok, no water and air con turns on by motion sensor so if you're the only one there room will be stifling hot until around about the time you're ready to leave anyway. Brekky just ok, missed Bircher muesli and most importantly an espresso machine. I think for the price and quality of the hotel espresso should be a given. All in all a very pleasant stay and despite a couple of downsides (mostly the espresso machine I really like coffee :-D) I would consider staying here again when next...
Read moreThe Heritage Pattaya Beach Resort - by far the worst service experience I've ever had in Thailand.
Review:
My recent stay at Pattaya Heritage Beach Resort was deeply disappointing. Despite a wonderful experience in Pattaya last year, this time was entirely different. I had hoped to be closer to the beach, but to my dismay, the hotel doesn't have its own beach; instead, guests must cross a busy road and pay extra for access to a beach that, frankly, was one of the dirtiest I've encountered in Thailand.
The hotel itself is showing its age, with a rundown appearance and subpar service that fell far below the standards one would expect from a property of this nature. The breakfast provided was basic, and the lack of proper air conditioning made for an uncomfortable stay.
My dissatisfaction peaked when I attempted to address my concerns with the management. Initially met with refusal, I was eventually coerced into staying an additional night against my wishes before being permitted to continue my vacation elsewhere. The manager's dismissive and rude behavior, insisting on communication solely through Agoda, only added to my frustration.
Despite this disappointing experience, I refuse to let it overshadow the beauty of Thailand and the warmth of its people. However, I strongly advise others to seek alternative...
