I stayed here for a week and enjoyed my time, but there are some downsides potential guests should be aware of.
The look of the hotel is charming! They have put effort into the design to not make it look like another sterile and generic hotel. This was the first time I stayed in the area called Pattaya Klang, but it wasn't as cumbersome to get to the Southern parts of the town as I thought it would be. It can be slightly bothersome to walk to Soi Buakhao or Central Festival more than once per day though, but once you reach Soi Buakhao you can easily let one of the Baht buses take you further down. There is even the occasional Baht bus passing by the hotel, but I don't know it's route.
About the issues that might not be an issue for you:
The pool is small with only three sunbeds, more meant to cool off in than do any laps in - but there's no ladder! If you can't pull yourself up from a 1.20 metres deep pool then you won't be able to use it.
There's not much natural light coming into the room. The only windows, the ones on the balcony doors, is textured in a way that it won't let much daylight coming through. I had to have the lights on in the room during the day. About the balcony doors, if you're very short (like 1.55 m or under) or have weaker arms/hands then you might find it difficult to open and close the doors.
There are three buttons for the lights in the bedroom: Master, Reading and Nightlight. Master turns on and off all lights. Reading turns on two small ceiling lamps over the bed (not the lights with the lampshades over the bed). Every time you wish to turn off all of the Reading lights (and only those lights), to somewhat dim the light in the room, you'll have to go to each side of the bed and push a button. I don't know what the Nightlight button does. There are no buttons for the lights by the door as customary, they are only located by the bed. It's not a big room so it's not a big issue.
The toilet seat wouldn't stay up so I had to hold it while relieving myself. I don't think there's an easy fix to this since it seems to be a fault with how the seat is constructed.
The room is quite noise-sensitive. You will hear it every time somenone walks by your room in the corridor. However, I had no trouble sleeping.
Just like many other hotels they don't put the free water bottles in the refrigerator. When you first arrive you're treated to luke warm water. Another common oversight among the hotels in Pattaya is the absence of somewhere to hang your clothes on the balcony to let them air out. You can at least hang them on the railing here, but a hook on the wall or something would've been better.
The hotel is budget friendly but the hotel's bar and café seem to be aimed at a less money conscious group. The cocktails in the delightful bar are delicious but priced on par with Northern Europe. The café is even more expensive than back home. I paid like 380 baht for the things you can see in the picture. The bar do have Happy Hour (2 for 1) between 2 and 5 in the afternoon.
I still recommend this hotel if you are okay with the less positive sides...

Quba Boutique Hotel Pattaya is a unique and charming accommodation choice that perfectly blends modern convenience with a vintage aesthetic. Its prime location makes it a standout option for travelers, as it is situated near key attractions, restaurants, and the vibrant Pattaya nightlife, ensuring guests can explore the city with ease.
The hotel’s design is its most striking feature, with carefully curated decor that combines vintage charm with contemporary elements. From the lobby to the rooms, every corner of Quba exudes character, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate style and attention to detail.
The rooms, while undeniably stylish, are on the smaller side. They are best suited for solo travelers or couples who prioritize design and functionality over spaciousness. Despite their compact size, the rooms are well-appointed with modern amenities, including a comfortable bed, smart TV, and a clean, well-maintained bathroom. However, some guests may find the tight layout less suitable for extended stays or families needing more space.
One of the highlights of staying at Quba is the exceptional service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. Additionally, the property’s cleanliness and upkeep are commendable.
While the rooms may not be ideal for everyone due to their size, the hotel makes up for it with its unique ambiance, fantastic location, and excellent service. For travelers looking for a cozy, stylish stay with easy access to Pattaya's best attractions, Quba Boutique Hotel is a...
Read moreThe Quba Boutique Hotel is a true hidden gem. From the second I walked in, I felt like I was no longer in Thailand but somewhere deep in Old Havana. The architecture is absolutely stunning, colorful, vibrant, and full of vintage Cuban charm. The open atrium floods the place with natural light and tropical energy.
I stayed in the “El Presidente” suite, and it honestly blew me away. The room was spacious and full of character, but the real highlight the private balcony for me. More of a mini courtyard with an open sky, it was surprisingly massive easily big enough to host a small gathering or just relax with a drink and watch clouds pass by.
One of the coolest features of the property was the authentic cigar bar. It was laid-back, well-curated, and a perfect nod to Cuban culture. Whether you're into cigars or not, it’s worth checking out just for the atmosphere.
The staff here is exceptional. Friendly, professional, and truly welcoming. They made me feel taken care of from the moment check-in. I actually arrived past midnight and it was not a hassle to get to my room. The security guard goes above an beyond, because it was after hours he escorted me to my room and helped with my bags. I wish I could remember his name, but that is my boy! Tik is one of the supervisors there and she was very nice and extremely helpful offering assistance with everything from local recommendations to last-minute changes. The whole staff in general were very polite and accommodating. It’s rare to find service that feels both personal and effortless, but...
