Leng Kee — Restaurant in Pattaya City

To have your order botched, and to be screamed at and assaulted, this is the place. I stopped in for lunch today and ordered two dishes. When served, one dish was correct, the other completely different from what I ordered. I politely informed the waiter of the mistake and asked him to correct it. A minute later a woman manager, who was not present when I placed my order, came over and screamed that there was no mistake in the order. I politely informed her that she had not taken my order and that it was indeed the wrong order. I asked that it be corrected. She screamed that I could place a third order but that there was no way that my order was incorrect and that I had to pay for it. We went back and forth like this for a couple of minutes. Then this lunatic began grabbing me. At that point I stood up and told her not to touch me. I picked up the bill and, without touching any of the food, I walked to the counter, the crazy manager tagging along beside me. I paid, told her I'd never be back, and that I would tell the world about my experience. My advice: Avoid this place...

I'm an American. Take that as you will. I have eaten here at least 50 times since 2013 in my 8 trips and a total of 26 months. I've only had EXCEPTIONAL food which is always most important to me. Service??? I know most of them by face. Some are sub par. Most are great. The later will jump in a "pick up" for the former. Atmosphere???? It can be loud at times. After midnight it quiets down. I have brought no less than 10 Thai "dates". They are great for your ego and will often tell you what they think you want to hear but not about food. They shoot straight about food. ALL have told me, "This is not good seafood. IT IS GREAT." Price???? If you want "cheap", eat from a vender on the street. Which I do too. The price here reasonable for seafood. Nobody ever complained about the price of a good vacation. Vacation big costs are plane, hotel, nightlife.... food is a low cost item. Eat good food, not "good deal" food. This is...

After a brief interlude during which the service seemed to have improved, they are now back to their awful most unpleasant attitude...better boycott the place and let them rely on the hope for Chinese groups to rip off...I insist : some of the worst staff ever experienced in TH, with the exception of one or two, who are not always on duty...and since I also got my bill while writing this review, let me underline that they are thieves and plain crooks : a 100THB corkage charge was added, but it was not the case upon my last two visits in the same month + a mysterious 80THB....crooks, that's what they are...a pity, as the food is not bad at all, but they prefer to be dishonest and unpleasant, was probably easier in the golden years, but this is coming to an end, sooner than later. A deeply rooted xenophobia, and this place...
