My partner and I visited for breakfast for the first time this morning. Our experience was bad. We sat down unsure whether someone would bring us a menu, or if we had to ask for one, which we couldn't do anyway because there were no staff around to ask. We took the menu from the stand on the street and waited for someone to come to our table to take our order. In the meantime, there were three of four people that arrived after us trying to buy bread for takeaway, but again no one was around to serve... anyone! It's like the staff all decided to have their breakfast out back at the same time. We left after 15 minutes of waiting to be seen as it was obvious they had some staffing issues that we weren't willing to wait for them to resolve.
Side note, if you are not a smoker, this is not the place for you. All seating is outdoors and pretty much everyone was chain smoking when we were waiting. Not a...

So, 4 stars! This place is one of those in Pattaya where french people, but not only, enjoy to come for differents reasons. The both main, on my point of wiew, is, like the Proust’s madeleine cake, to recover the taste of real french bakeries, real breads ( a challenge in a tropical climate). You can find also many dishes from breakfast to lunch, especially typical french sandwiches. The menu is large. Don’t forget to taste the homemade jam. You can also find some products of la Boulange in a few supermarkets or coffee shop around Pattaya. The second reason to come is the true warm welcome and kindness of the owners, Alain and his thaï wife who speaks french. The staff is nice, too, The prices are fair, it’s simple and good. Don’t expect a cosy decoration but a place to feel easy. Only two regrets, for me, the coffee ( Thailand offers a quality of great coffees)and the closure at 3 pm....and now, very recently, at 5 p.m!😀 And now a test to...
Read moreA French bakery where the manager actually speaks French with the customers. The croissants and the pain au chocolat are highly recommended. The small brioche and the raisin pastry didn't convince us. However, we are German, and perhaps these two products are made differently in Germany? I had ordered a latte macchiato to drink. However, the server brought me some other hot beverage that was very bitter. The staff, however, was so friendly and gave me milk so I could still drink this coffee beverage. The café was very well-frequented, mostly by foreigners, primarily French people. Many of the guests, as I saw, ordered scrambled eggs...
