I booked this hotel from 28 Dec to 31 Dec, booking ID: 1479361553 when arrived at hotel on 28 Dec, front office name Sudarat photocopy my passport and my husband, told us to leave as check in time is 2 pm, therefore I filled necessary form and left our luggage there.

We back at the hotel around 10 pm closed to 11 pm, when presented with agoda booking number, the front office woman said double booking, then we talked to Manager who she said her name is Wawa. She insisted our booking not existed, therefore we contacted Agoda and spoke to few people there from Ranjita, Mas, etc etc. When Agoda customer service talked to them, the Manager Wawa keep insisting that the booking never exist. We asked Agoda to cancel the booking as no resolution until midnight, and Agoda said originally couldn't as the hotel Manager Wawa denied it. Only at 00:18 which is the next day 29 December, finally we received the email that the hotel cancel our booking, therefore Agoda will refund us.

Few points;

Hotel Manager which name Wawa, denied our booking, don't give us the room that we booked and refused to refund our money. Agoda couldn't process the refund initially without theirs approval.

Later part at middle of night, Hotel Manager Wawa said she has a room but we must pay THB 2500 per night directly to hotel, whereas our booking with Agoda for that hotel no resolution as we have paid to Agoda for our stay from 28 Dec to 31 Dec.

Finally after persistent call to Agoda, lost count how many times, they manage to arrange to get our refund, can you imagine you paid for hotel, the hotel denied your room that you have paid and refuse to refund your money???

In Agoda review, stated we cancel the booking but email sent to us stated clearly the reason is hotel cancel our booking, I have proof email.

We manage to get the hotel somewhere in Bangkok, there are still kind people in the world.

Conclusion: Book this hotel at your own risk, first time experience this...

We stayed a few nights and although staff were super friendly and helpful, we booked the hotel because it had a pool. Unfortunately the pool was "under maintenance"(signs in elevators looked weeks old) which it wasn't as we went up to look. The hotel had a few conferences on during our 3 night stay, which seems a main income source and one conference room just happened to be by the pool. I understand the need for revenue, but don't advertise a pool if you are not allowing guest to use it. Also it's quite a walk to the BTS skytrain or metro(40-50mins with a kid, 20-30mins unencumbered) and although affordable to use these, for the back and forth travel you'd be doing it would work out far more affordable to book a slightly more expensive hotel in the center of Bangkok. There are some nice cafe's, markets and 7elevens within walking distance, about 20-30mins along the main road that's to the right as you exit the hotel and the right again at the traffic lights. Unfortunately I'd not recommend the hotel for families, especially if you have really young kids(0-9) that don't cope to well with 30min-1hr commutes. We made the mistake of going into central in peak traffic with a taxi, took almost 2 hour's to get to Siam Paragon. I'd probably have given the hotel a 4 star rating had it not been for the pool and great distance from...

This is the worse hotel i tried. The hotel is very old the receptionist are not good. I tried to refund so many times but they didn't know how to do it. The beds are itchy and there is stain in pillow. No netflix on tv. The shower is leaking. Incomplete sanitaries. It is very old hotel which i feel uncomfortable and not recommended for solo traveller. The hallway are very creepy and im scared because it looks like hospital and old. The hallway is dark and also one time we can't open door because there is problem on the pass so we go down again on reception. It is mentioned that it is free breakfast on the booking. Unfortunately we need to pay 199 thb and not interested with it as it looks like on picture it's very dry. The elevator is very old like on horror movie that is making sounds. On the entrance it's very hassle because we need to lift our luggage on the stairs. We are always taking grab which is we need to spend alot. So if you want to save don't book here you will spend alot on grab. Not worth money to stay here. Everything is very far and it's dark outside the hotel. No BTS nearby no 7/11 or any stores. Not recommended here. Reception area are very creepy and dark. I can't sleep well here and I didn't enjoy my stay it is very old hotel. I don't find any...

So disappointed bcs I never had experience with such unfriendly stuff and complicated rules.Feels like u live in hospital bcs of interior. Good things is place clean,room,bedsheets. Room service daily. BUT their card system so bad,bcs we 2two cards and when we use one other automatically get blocked (so what is the point to have 2??) Also to enter the corridor in your floor you need use your card too,every day sometimes twice a day we renew our card on reception. Its so so ANNOYING bcs you go to your floor(like 12 or 20) than you can not open door so u mast go down and ask receptionist for help ,sometimes they are busy so u have to wait. What a waist of time! Maybe its security system but not really practical. Gym not comfortable,everything is old,I really afraid to use machines,and for yoga they don’t have space at all. Washing machines works bad u can not choose how to wash your clothes so its can be easily to ruin them Iron only in the corridor which is okay but it when its cold like +16 degrees Also don’t have expectations abt pool its close! If u tourist location not really strategic P.S.there was only one person in reception,forgot his name but he was so nice and friendly always gave us good mood. Other so grumpy

I tried many times to call, email, and message the staff for weeks prior to my arrival. Trying to confirm I’d be happy and all was in check.. following is likely the reason they don’t reply! Grand Tower Inn looks great online! Not nearly the quality depicted once you witness it. None. And I mean none! Of the posh decorative aspects of the room exist. Only 2 pillows and very white sheet sets. No robes, slippers, iron, hair dryer (old hair dryer available on request. Additional pillows can be asked for). Housekeeper boy has no uniform and doesn’t wear shoes. Free WiFi is a per floor login do walking around will knock you offline. Terrace on floor 9 is not accessible. Windows do not open. None of the staff have even basic understanding of English. That wouldn’t bother me if they didn’t advertise English as a spoken language. The pool is closed for maintenance for the next few months they say. but looks just fine! This will be only my first full night here so I’ll update over the next 9 days. I can say already though…. It’s a very good thing my Filipina fiancé is not used to the finer things and will love the place regardless of its downfalls!

overall a flop, won't stay here again; details below. I was solo traveling using only backpacks. Came to the hotel around 10AM and wasn't greeted by the receptionist, two old women. The one who specifically handled me was not nice and not smiling at all. I saw her raising her voice to other guest. The hotel feels so old and neglected. Felt uneasy while staying there because the feeling was so odd too. There was no lobby boy to help you with luggage. I asked for a hairdryer at night and had to pick it up downstairs because there was only 1 man standby at the receptionist. Location is not preferable for you who likes to take BTS/MRT. Also not good for walking. This hotel is located near the toll road so there were lots of speeding vehicles, which is not safe for walking. Took about 5-7 minutes to the nearest 7eleven. I wouldn't walk around the hotel at night. The only positive thing about staying here is they provide van to 4 favourite spots: nearest BTS station (Ari Station), JJ Mall, etc.
