This is most definitely a 5 star hotel (for Thailand of course). The reception staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful. The room we had was beside a good sized pool, with almost direct access from our ground floor porch area, which was covered.
The pool itself has a jacuzzi section and a waterfall area. It was always like entering a warm bath! The staff around the pool were as helpful as any we met.
Worth noting that there are two receptions, one for standard and deluxe rooms and another, across the roadway, that are for the more luxurious rooms.
Breakfast was on "our" side of the road and was really very well stocked and presented with a great choice and equally as helpful and friendly staff.
The breakfast room doubles as a coffee shop after breakfast and an excellent restaurant for later in the day. There is an extensive menu at, actually, really good prices for a hotel!
Across the road, which is probably my only "niggle", and through the 'other' reception, there is a lovely infinity pool, a daytime bistro and bar area, along with cabanas and literally beachside relaxation loungers.
The beach is long but the water is not as clear as the other side of the piers and the sand on the beach is not as soft or gentle as that 'side'.
The beach is a good walk (in terms of length I mean) but (as I learnt) you can only walk so far as some of the beach is owned by the King and is Palace owned.
The tides are quick and at this time of year can come all the way to the steps at high tide.
The staff around the pool are excellent as all, and will cater to your every need. I make special mention of "Nun" who works in the area and will help with anything you may need, he did us.
I had the pleasure of meeting Linsley the hotel manager, whose English and smiling deposition is superb and who will no doubt help me on my travels to Hua Hin in the future.
We walked into town every night and at this time of year, I was surprised how quiet the roads were. It's close enough to walk to the Night Market or any of the decent eateries or bars (including Walking Street).
Given the very minor niggle I may have I'd say this is probably one of the best...
Read moreStill a great and beautiful place to stay at Hua Hin but we think a lot has changed from the last time we visited which lower the hotel’s standard to just a 4 star.
Staffs lack training verbally and physically and have low service mind level. If they’re not ready why put them on a job and ruin your reputation?
The butler service has changed the system so it’s not so attentive any more since anyone can contact the butler number and they will just do what you want (one way communication), instead of coming and introducing themselves to the guests, getting to know you and really know what you want. If you know you know that this differs you from a normal hotel and a 5 star. And that’s why you can’t catch up how your guests feel and sort things out to avoid bad experiences.
The first 2 topics are significantly what makes us feel disappointed and…kinda surprised in a bad way. The following are just small things but they add up too.
Some of the amenities such as a cloth hanger should be provided before the customer request.
The curtain in rooms on the sun rise side should be changed to ensure the customer’s best sleep.
The wifi is unstable. The A/C has water dropped.
The room we stayed in isn’t sound-proof we can still hear the room nearby makes noise. We feel pity for the room next to that room to have to experience such loud noise which shouldn’t happen in such private and high-end hotel. Maybe it’s the matter of the noise restriction rule that’s not serious enough or could be the staffs that don’t understand fully what the 5-star hotel should be like so they don’t feel like giving that room a warning.
Lastly, we would like to thank K.Nont for hearing us out, accepting the feedbacks and taking action immediately. Also, K.Amp from the butler team, K.Ying from the restaurant for your excellent care. Although, the first day wasn’t what we expected but you guys did a quick turn around for the rest of our stay. This is not entirely the staffs’ fault. We hope the hotel board takes this into consideration and continue to recover your standard.
Thank you...

We booked this hotel expecting a luxurious beach resort, but what we experienced was a health and safety nightmare. My wife and I were traveling with our 6-month-old baby, and this place failed to meet even the most basic expectations, let alone justify the £1,000 we spent for 6 nights.
Key Issues: Dangerous and Poorly Maintained Facilities • The journey to our room involved multiple hazardous steps with poor lighting, making it unsafe to navigate, especially at night. • The room itself was outdated, with steps both inside the room and in the bathroom, creating constant safety hazards. • The bathroom was infested with ants. Far from a Beach Resort • To access the so-called “beach,” you must cross a busy road—not ideal when traveling with a baby. • Once there, you’ll find there’s no actual beach, as the water comes right up to the front of the hotel. Additionally, the path to the water is full of gravel and steps, making it impossible to use a pram. Subpar Amenities • The TV was small, poorly positioned, and only had one channel. • The bed had no power sockets on one side, making charging devices and controlling lights unnecessarily difficult. Awful Customer Service • We requested a refund immediately upon arrival, as the experience was so far removed from what was advertised. However, reception staff claimed they couldn’t help because reservations was “closed.” • After hours of arguments with both the hotel and Hotels.com, we were told management refused to refund even our remaining 5 nights, citing their “non-refundable” policy. Disruptive Environment • The pool area was far from relaxing, with workers using noisy power tools to build cabanas right in the middle of the space.
Summary:
This is not a 5-star resort by any stretch of the imagination. The facilities are unsafe, the service is atrocious, and the hotel is completely misrepresented online. There are far better options in Thailand for half the price.
