As a Titanium Elite member of Marriott-BONVOY member I normally stay at hotels of this chain to get all my benefits. But this time they messed it up and after one night at a BONVOY hotel we left, were looking for an alternative accommodation.||||We found AMANTRA Sathorn and made a booking directly via their website.||||And, wow, were we impressed ! The apartment, in comparison to a Premium Deluxe Room at a Marriott Hotel, is HUGE, comprised of a kitchen with dining table, a living room with modern and high quality furniture, a very comfortable bed, enough storage for 70 kg of clothes we are traveling, a bathroom with bathtub and shower as well as Japanese toilet, balcony etc. All materials are of highest quality, not just tiles and cheap artificial wooden floor.||||In addition everything was spotless clean, the towels new, the kitchen fully equipped. And, what we didn‘t expect, the apartment was cleaned daily, such as in a 4/5* hotel. Towels were exchanged daily, they even cleaned the dirty cups in the sink.||||Pool and gym are decent. In case you are flexible there‘s all you need.||||The location is lovely, away from the sex-tourist area of Sukhumvit, no bad smell since there are no weed-shops nearby. But there are some very good restaurants with 2 minutes of walking distance, no matter if you want Japanese or just a nice noodle soup. AMANTRA offers laundry service, but within 200 meters you‘ll find a laundry charging by weight.||||What is really outstanding is the service. No matter if it‘s the porter at the entrance or Nueng at the reception desk, they all go out of their way to help you wherever they can. ||||Nueng even helped us to send 2 suitcases to another hotel near BKK airport, so it would wait for us there after our return from Laos.||||We liked this apart-hotel so much that we booked it again for our upcoming stay in March.||||You should ask yourself: why paying double at a international brand hotel for a standard hotel room - when you can get such a fantastic fully serviced apartment in best location at...
Read moreGreat residence styled hotel with ample parking lots. Have a seperate living/dining & bedroom with 2 seperate a/c controls, good for those who prefer to not switch on their a/c in the living/dining area.
Amenities in the rooms are complete (perks of a residence styled room). From cooking equipments/utensils to your laundry needs. There is also a full sized refrigerator with a seperate freezer compartment. The automatic heated-seat toilet with bidet is god sent.
On another note, the view from the rooms are not that great especially only being a 8-storey building, with the 8th storey being their lobby (with fitness room + pool).
Location wise, not the best location if you do not have your own transport. However there is a free tuktuk service to the nearby MRT station every morning. Otherwise it is recommended to use a ride-hailing app like Grab for transport, peace of mind of a fixed moderately priced fare to go through Bangkok's traffic.
There are also a couple of 7/11 convenience stores opened 24/7 within walking distances from the hotel, one of which is directly opposite the hotel's main entrance area.
Overall, i had experienced a wonderful 3 night stay. All of the staffs were very welcoming. Will definitely consider to stay here again in the future. For those who are planning to stay long, they do have their monthly...
Read moreDisgusting Hotel – Filthy Rooms & Dishonest, Money-Hungry Staff
My stay at Amanta Hotel was an absolute nightmare. The staff is rude, dishonest, and only cares about money. They lie without hesitation and have zero concern for their guests, even if you’re traveling with a baby.
The rooms smell musty and disgusting, as if they haven’t been cleaned in ages. The floors are covered in thick dust and dirt, proving that hygiene is not a priority here. The towels? Full of stains and absolutely filthy. Everything about this place feels neglected and unclean.
And the worst part? The staff lies straight to your face. When I asked to extend my stay, they claimed the hotel was fully booked. But when I checked online, I saw that there were still 20 rooms available for the next day. When I confronted them with this, suddenly they were willing to offer me a room—but for 5,500 baht per night, even though the exact same room was listed online for only 2,000 baht. And if I tried to extend my stay through the website at the lower price, I was forced to switch rooms, which is completely ridiculous.
This hotel is nothing but a scam. Stay far away unless you want to be lied to, overcharged, and treated with...
