Baan Panwa Resort & Spa — Hotel in Wichit

Basic Hotel with no frills. Only came for 6 days as a quick visit with family. For the price we paid it’s value for money. But it’s extremely old and dated. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Extremely friendly. A little English is spoken. Room are clean but the maintenance of hotel is poor. Essentially you will need :- BUG SPRAYS, EXTRA STRONG BODY SPRAY AND EAR PLUGS FOR NIGHTTIME . Open air corridor to the rooms. A different entry for bugs and geckos. The rooms are kept clean. Basic kettle and fridge setup. The wardrobe is 2 hooks, drawers and trouser poles. For dresses I hung them on bathroom doors. There are no hooks for hanging swimsuits and damp clothes. The room has a terrace but my advice don’t go out. I don’t think any repellent will save you! The hotel is in a garden setting. It’s showing is age. The swimmers pool is useable. But again poorly maintained. We went for a swim and by husband got in to remove foliage. LITTLE THINGS MAKE...

I'm currently staying here, booked through Booking.com, and it's completely unsatisfactory.

The bed is comfortable, the view of the beach is beautiful, and the evening food is good. To be fair, to put it this way.

The bathroom facilities in the room are poor and not clean, breakfast is not available, the TV has 7 channels, 3 of which are snow-themed. There's no whirlpool in the room, and the garden view is a wall with some greenery.

Either the hotel is dishonest about the description or Booking.com.

The 50% cancellation fee is ridiculous if you have to pay for what they offer and you don't get it, but you only find out after you've paid properly.

They can't speak English.

Left less than 24 hours after checking in. The staff barely spoke English, there was nobody who could understand us, AC in the room was weak and when rooms were changed (1.5 hours later) we were sent to a room with an even worse AC. The restaurant is open only in the day and information provided in the room brochure is out-dated or invalid. Nobody is around to help, we had to go looking for people every time we needed assistance. Location-wise the place is filled with greenery which was the one and only redeeming feature. Was really looking forward to staying here but with little to no effort on the part of the staff it made our decision to leave that...
