⭐ GOOGLE MAPS REVIEW – ENGLISH (with Spanish below) One of the worst experiences we’ve ever had in a hotel. AVOID THIS PLACE. Panwaburi Beach Front Resort is a complete scam. The photos are misleading, the rooms are dirty and much smaller than advertised, and worst of all: the staff is extremely rude, cruel, and completely inhumane. We were humiliated, disrespected, and ignored the entire time. 🧺 The hotel laundry destroyed several pieces of our clothing, including a cashmere and silk scarf from Nepal worth 27,000 baht (700 €) and a Paris-made skirt worth 250 € – both belonged to my late mother. They were emotionally priceless to me. The staff were informed that the items were delicate and expensive. They ignored us, sent the clothes without care instructions, and when the damage was done, they blamed the external laundry. But the laundry workers confirmed they were never informed. They also lost a sock, and several other clothes came back dirtier than before, with red ink stains (we don’t even own a red pen). No apology was ever given. 💔 I had a panic attack and cried in the lobby, and the staff laughed at me. They mocked me when I told them the clothes belonged to my deceased mother. Absolutely no empathy. 🧹 The rooms are a joke. When we arrived, there were fingernails on the bed, dust everywhere, and insects. It was disgusting. 🛏️ The rooms are MUCH smaller than shown in photos. The hotel is famous only because of a pool that’s not even special. Super loud, you hear everything from other rooms. Music starts at 7 AM, but you’re not allowed to make any noise after 9 PM. If other guests break the rules, nothing happens. But if you make a sound, they threaten you with fines and call the police. 📍 And the location is terrible. The hotel is far from everything – you need to rent a motorbike or car, or pay expensive taxis for even the smallest thing. There is nothing nearby, and the beach in front of the hotel is disgusting. Dirty, smelly, and absolutely not for swimming. It’s a huge scam and everything ends up costing you more. 💸 You pay for everything, they take no responsibility, and the staff is just cruel. We missed our ferry today because of their negligence and had to pay a taxi to file a police report – which we did. They act friendly in photos, but the truth is this place is abusive, dishonest and toxic. We have photos, videos, and recordings of how we were treated. We’re now in touch with lawyers and the Spanish Embassy. Legal action is already underway. DO NOT STAY HERE. You’ll regret it. This was a nightmare.

The pool is absolutely amazing, and the cleaners are so polite. THE RECEPTION STAFF, is absolutely horrendous, so RUDE! They will be talking between them, not even ask u why you are standing in front of them, one guy from the security have to tell them like: there’s someone in front of you. I received a delivery (a picture) I did the night before in Sunday market, and once the person sent me a confirmation they have delivered, I went to ask in the reception. They had a few people around, I ask they had a delivery for me, the lady (short hair, thin, I wish I knew her name) she said in a really dismissive tone no we don’t have it. I said, I have a picture the delivery guy sent, can you ask your coworkers…she said no I have people you need to wait, I said, I am not gonna wait. I was not gonna wait for her to finish everyone that are checking in or doing long procedures for u to ask a question and give me the my delivery. And I got my phone and took a picture of the whole reception, and she was like: sorry why are you taking pictures, I was like: to show the person and he can tell me to whom of you he delivered. And then automatically she was, oh look this one? . Apart from that, the service sorry is not good. They will be polite to you at the restaurant, but they always close 15min before the end time, and if you ask A COFFEE! they will say no, sorry, last order 9:30pm. In the room Menu says there’s room service, not at all. The food is between average and low… the smoothies are great. A taxi driver told me about this Sunday Market they do in Phuket… my point is, in the hotel they don’t give you any kind of information or advice. There’s a small desk at the entrance of the reception for tours and stuff… this I noticed on the 2nd day by myself, in the reception they don’t even mention this or promote. Not even the lady working at that desk herself. This hotel has the best pool and rooms surrounding it… apart from that is barely 3 stars hotel. In the pictures you will see, a stunning pool, good smoothie, very average food, the only bar in the rooftop you will see it, they don’t even have where to do food. And is exactly how I show in the picture.

Mixed Feelings My girlfriend and I stayed here for 12 days and had a great time, with one exception. Positive + Beautiful, very quiet and remote location directly at the beach + Brand new hotel, rooms and everything feel like it + Stylish design, nice pool and rooms have everything you need + Easy scooter rental (which you’ll want to consider as there’s not much around in walking distance and even the nearby restaurants are across a very steep hill) + Fast, reliable WiFi and AirCon Negative - Service: Out of the 12 days we stayed, 10 times our rooms were not cleaned when we returned from our daily trips. It seemed our schedule didn’t work out for the housekeeping team (we always left around 9.30am or earlier and never returned before 2.30pm). What annoyed us most however was the attitude of the reception staff when we asked them to please send someone to make up our room. Especially one young lady at reception gave us an attitude that only grew with each time we had to (politely) ask if our room could please be made up. We usually consider ourselves easy going guests and definitely don’t enjoy daily “special requests at reception” so this really made our experience a little less great. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t book breakfast and always ate outside. Would I recommend the hotel? Yes, although I do hope that hotel management takes the reviews into consideration. A better management of housekeeping and a lecture in polite behaviour towards guests would be an easy fix and would improve the experience of every guest. I would have given five stars if it weren’t for the sassy reception staff and poorly organised housekeeping.

This hotel was my 21 year old daughters choice , she booked it for complete chill and relax for me and her dad after a very long flight from the uk. |On arrival we was very early, check in was 3pm , and we arrived around 10.30am! We was greeted with a friendly manner, the porter gave us fresh cold juice and took our cases from us and stored them safely in the lobby.|We checked in pretty smoothly, and was allowed to use the facilities until our room was ready, there is toilets and a shower. What I will say is the reception is very small ,busy ,and the pool area also. We walked down the round to the cove resort, and sat and had a drink there by the pool, its a beautiful location. |We then got a grab to the local 7/11 5mins down a very steep hill, when we then recieved a message at 2pm saying our rooms was ready.||Our daughter had a pool access room and we had a balcony room. Both was very nice , clean and the fridge was stocked with free water , Pepsi and sprite, some salted nuts too. |And this was restocked daily.||The hotel was calm , peaceful and pretty. |The ambience at night time was lovely too, everyone would sit on there balconies and I really found it a nicely designed hotel. ||Our daughters room , was also very nice , she ordered a floating breakfast to be delivered to her room, which was lovely , the porter took her photos for her recieveing it.||What I will say is this hotel has become tiktok and Instagram famous, so expect to see lots of influencers taking videos and pictures. |This didnt bother us at all, infact it was entertaining to watch some them to be fair, but they wasn't harming anyone and during our stay was all friendly enough. But if this is something that irritates you then this hotel isnt for you. ||We didnt use the restaurant, so can not comment on that, we did have a cocktail on the roof bar terrace where the infinity pool is and they was really nice cocktails, properly made. ||All the staff we came across was very friendly to us. |This hotel is in a very isolated area, with nothing around it, but it does offer beautiful views and its a stone throw away from the beautiful clear blue ocean. |Taxi drivers are readily available outside 24/7 and will call you every time you leave the hotel, if you choose to use them barter a price.|We didn't use them as our daughter had the grab app and it was cheaper. ||The cove resort down the road is beautiful and does really nice food is a perfect location on the beach.||We did also have the most amazing food in a hotel 5 mins up the hill from the hotel I dont remember its name , but it was a 5 star luxury villas in believe on the cliff, they have two restaurants one with a min spend to dine there , or the normal restaurant ( with no min spend). I highly recommend this place , it wasn't cheap but the views was amazing, the food was 5 star! |We arrived and asked to make a reservation, they then took us up to the restaurant in a golf buggy! And even drove us back down to the panwaburi afterwards. Outstanding 5 star service. ||So all in all ...for us this hotel gave us what we needed two nights to chill , get over our long flights, before we then headed over to krabi. ||We would stay again...

Okay, so where do I even start with this place...?||Check-In: The reception was just pure chaos, like a suitcase mountain range. At first, we thought, "Oh well, must be a busy day," but honestly, it was a luggage fest every single day. Once you battled your way through the suitcase jungle to the desk, checking in was actually pretty straightforward. Deposit down, key card in hand, and they did take our bags to the room, so that was a plus.||The Room: We had one of those swim-up rooms, size-wise it was just 'meh'. But get this – NO. WARDROBE. Like, nowhere to actually hang or put your clothes! We were there for five nights, and living outta the suitcase for that long? Not ideal, mate. Then we met our little roommate, Jin-Jack the lizard. They even have a leaflet telling you about them! Seriously, I had no idea these tiny things could make so much noise, chirping away and keeping us up all night. And if it wasn't the little fella, it was the paper-thin walls. Our door had this massive 5mm gap all the way around, and on the first night, we genuinely thought someone had walked into our room and was chatting next to the bed because you could hear EVERYTHING from outside and next door. Zero soundproofing.||The Restaurant: Seriously, just skip it. We gave it three goes – lunch, dinner, and a snack on our last day. Looking back, I'm not sure what I was thinking giving it so many chances. The food and service were proper rubbish. First time, we sat there for a good 20 minutes before anyone bothered with us, while the teenage staff – who clearly hadn't heard of customer service – were just messing about and having a laugh. I even questioned if the 'chicken' satay was actually chicken, and if it was, it was drier than the Sahara. Another time, the burger I ordered? Bone dry beef again! And on the last day, my Panang Curry and my fiancé's chips came out in about 15 minutes... stone cold. Not even a little bit warm, straight outta the fridge! Oh, and it was closed on our last night due to the hotel hosting a private event which they failed to tell guests, so upon arrival at 8pm for dinner we had to scramble to figure out other plans!||The Staff: Basically, the hotel's run by a bunch of teenagers who seem to have zero clue about hospitality. The only staff member who deserves any praise is the security guy, always happy to lend a hand with the suitcases, bless him.||The Location: Proper pants, this. The beach is just... a beach, nothing special at all. And unless you fancy a proper trek up a mega steep hill to get to the local 'town' – which is basically a 7/11, a few bog-standard restaurants, and some massage places – you're stuck in the middle of nowhere. We ended up having to rent a moped for the whole time.||Cleanliness: Can't fault this, it was clean at least, that's what my 2 stars are for! ||Honestly, if you're still thinking about going after reading this, I'd say book a different hotel and maybe pop into this one for an hour or so. Security is non-existent; you could literally stroll straight past reception to the pool, grab your Instagram snaps, and leave without anyone even blinking an eye or...

We stayed at Panwaburi Beachfront Resort for four nights during our honeymoon, drawn in by the stunning pictures and countless social media posts. First off, yes, the hotel is beautiful, and the iconic pool views are exactly as advertised. However, that’s pretty much where the charm ends—it’s definitely overhyped on social media. Most posts showcase the same angles and make it seem like more than it is. The hotel is very remote, which is great if you’re looking to completely unplug for a day or two. Beyond that, it feels a bit inconvenient. The beach across the road is average at best—think more of a 2-star beach where you can hear cars passing by all day. While Old Town isn’t far in distance, the single-lane roads make getting there a long and slow process, so plan accordingly. There’s a 7-Eleven and a few other stores about a 15-20 minute walk away, but be prepared for the uphill trek and heat. On the plus side, there are simple but cute massage places nearby, some of which offer pickup and drop-off services, which was a nice touch. They also provide laundry services, which was convenient. Back to the hotel itself: we stayed in one of the villas with a private pool, but calling it a "pool" is a stretch—it’s more of a large bath. It’s cute, and the chilly water was refreshing, but not quite what we expected. The rooftop pool, on the other hand, was a highlight. It had a great vibe—cool, relaxed, and perfect for hanging out. We even made a few friends up there, which added a nice social touch to our stay. The biggest issue we faced was with room cleaning. It was incredibly delayed, and we had to repeatedly request housekeeping. On our last day, the room was finally cleaned at a reasonable time, but by then, the inconsistency had soured the experience. This is not the kind of service we’d expect from a property claiming to be 5-star. The front desk staff were polite, but their demeanor lacked the warmth and attentiveness typical of high-end resorts. They seemed perpetually busy with paperwork and calculations, and the check-in process felt outdated—it’s 2024, but they still rely on paper forms and cash deposits. I didn’t have Thai Baht at check-in, so they accepted USD, which was fine, but make sure you remind then at checkout to return the deposit as I forgot as normally al is signing a credit card and they called me when we where like 30 min from hotel on our way to the airport already. Thank god they communicated with the taxi driver and we got our money back. Small details like this matter, especially at a supposed luxury resort. Overall, I’d rate this hotel a solid 3+ stars. It’s a cute spot for a short stay and some beautiful pictures (pro tip: wake up early to get clear shots in the kayaks before the pool gets crowded). The breakfast was good, and the rooftop pool made for a chill, enjoyable time. But if you’re looking for a convenient location with lots to do and see nearby, this is not the place. It’s fine for a brief escape, but not for a full honeymoon experience or an...
