This hotel was my 21 year old daughters choice , she booked it for complete chill and relax for me and her dad after a very long flight from the uk. |On arrival we was very early, check in was 3pm , and we arrived around 10.30am! We was greeted with a friendly manner, the porter gave us fresh cold juice and took our cases from us and stored them safely in the lobby.|We checked in pretty smoothly, and was allowed to use the facilities until our room was ready, there is toilets and a shower. What I will say is the reception is very small ,busy ,and the pool area also. We walked down the round to the cove resort, and sat and had a drink there by the pool, its a beautiful location. |We then got a grab to the local 7/11 5mins down a very steep hill, when we then recieved a message at 2pm saying our rooms was ready.||Our daughter had a pool access room and we had a balcony room. Both was very nice , clean and the fridge was stocked with free water , Pepsi and sprite, some salted nuts too. |And this was restocked daily.||The hotel was calm , peaceful and pretty. |The ambience at night time was lovely too, everyone would sit on there balconies and I really found it a nicely designed hotel. ||Our daughters room , was also very nice , she ordered a floating breakfast to be delivered to her room, which was lovely , the porter took her photos for her recieveing it.||What I will say is this hotel has become tiktok and Instagram famous, so expect to see lots of influencers taking videos and pictures. |This didnt bother us at all, infact it was entertaining to watch some them to be fair, but they wasn't harming anyone and during our stay was all friendly enough. But if this is something that irritates you then this hotel isnt for you. ||We didnt use the restaurant, so can not comment on that, we did have a cocktail on the roof bar terrace where the infinity pool is and they was really nice cocktails, properly made. ||All the staff we came across was very friendly to us. |This hotel is in a very isolated area, with nothing around it, but it does offer beautiful views and its a stone throw away from the beautiful clear blue ocean. |Taxi drivers are readily available outside 24/7 and will call you every time you leave the hotel, if you choose to use them barter a price.|We didn't use them as our daughter had the grab app and it was cheaper. ||The cove resort down the road is beautiful and does really nice food is a perfect location on the beach.||We did also have the most amazing food in a hotel 5 mins up the hill from the hotel I dont remember its name , but it was a 5 star luxury villas in believe on the cliff, they have two restaurants one with a min spend to dine there , or the normal restaurant ( with no min spend). I highly recommend this place , it wasn't cheap but the views was amazing, the food was 5 star! |We arrived and asked to make a reservation, they then took us up to the restaurant in a golf buggy! And even drove us back down to the panwaburi afterwards. Outstanding 5 star service. ||So all in all ...for us this hotel gave us what we needed two nights to chill , get over our long flights, before we then headed over to krabi. ||We would stay again...
Read moreOkay, so where do I even start with this place...?||Check-In: The reception was just pure chaos, like a suitcase mountain range. At first, we thought, "Oh well, must be a busy day," but honestly, it was a luggage fest every single day. Once you battled your way through the suitcase jungle to the desk, checking in was actually pretty straightforward. Deposit down, key card in hand, and they did take our bags to the room, so that was a plus.||The Room: We had one of those swim-up rooms, size-wise it was just 'meh'. But get this – NO. WARDROBE. Like, nowhere to actually hang or put your clothes! We were there for five nights, and living outta the suitcase for that long? Not ideal, mate. Then we met our little roommate, Jin-Jack the lizard. They even have a leaflet telling you about them! Seriously, I had no idea these tiny things could make so much noise, chirping away and keeping us up all night. And if it wasn't the little fella, it was the paper-thin walls. Our door had this massive 5mm gap all the way around, and on the first night, we genuinely thought someone had walked into our room and was chatting next to the bed because you could hear EVERYTHING from outside and next door. Zero soundproofing.||The Restaurant: Seriously, just skip it. We gave it three goes – lunch, dinner, and a snack on our last day. Looking back, I'm not sure what I was thinking giving it so many chances. The food and service were proper rubbish. First time, we sat there for a good 20 minutes before anyone bothered with us, while the teenage staff – who clearly hadn't heard of customer service – were just messing about and having a laugh. I even questioned if the 'chicken' satay was actually chicken, and if it was, it was drier than the Sahara. Another time, the burger I ordered? Bone dry beef again! And on the last day, my Panang Curry and my fiancé's chips came out in about 15 minutes... stone cold. Not even a little bit warm, straight outta the fridge! Oh, and it was closed on our last night due to the hotel hosting a private event which they failed to tell guests, so upon arrival at 8pm for dinner we had to scramble to figure out other plans!||The Staff: Basically, the hotel's run by a bunch of teenagers who seem to have zero clue about hospitality. The only staff member who deserves any praise is the security guy, always happy to lend a hand with the suitcases, bless him.||The Location: Proper pants, this. The beach is just... a beach, nothing special at all. And unless you fancy a proper trek up a mega steep hill to get to the local 'town' – which is basically a 7/11, a few bog-standard restaurants, and some massage places – you're stuck in the middle of nowhere. We ended up having to rent a moped for the whole time.||Cleanliness: Can't fault this, it was clean at least, that's what my 2 stars are for! ||Honestly, if you're still thinking about going after reading this, I'd say book a different hotel and maybe pop into this one for an hour or so. Security is non-existent; you could literally stroll straight past reception to the pool, grab your Instagram snaps, and leave without anyone even blinking an eye or...
Read moreWe stayed at Panwaburi Beachfront Resort for four nights during our honeymoon, drawn in by the stunning pictures and countless social media posts. First off, yes, the hotel is beautiful, and the iconic pool views are exactly as advertised. However, that’s pretty much where the charm ends—it’s definitely overhyped on social media. Most posts showcase the same angles and make it seem like more than it is. The hotel is very remote, which is great if you’re looking to completely unplug for a day or two. Beyond that, it feels a bit inconvenient. The beach across the road is average at best—think more of a 2-star beach where you can hear cars passing by all day. While Old Town isn’t far in distance, the single-lane roads make getting there a long and slow process, so plan accordingly. There’s a 7-Eleven and a few other stores about a 15-20 minute walk away, but be prepared for the uphill trek and heat. On the plus side, there are simple but cute massage places nearby, some of which offer pickup and drop-off services, which was a nice touch. They also provide laundry services, which was convenient. Back to the hotel itself: we stayed in one of the villas with a private pool, but calling it a "pool" is a stretch—it’s more of a large bath. It’s cute, and the chilly water was refreshing, but not quite what we expected. The rooftop pool, on the other hand, was a highlight. It had a great vibe—cool, relaxed, and perfect for hanging out. We even made a few friends up there, which added a nice social touch to our stay. The biggest issue we faced was with room cleaning. It was incredibly delayed, and we had to repeatedly request housekeeping. On our last day, the room was finally cleaned at a reasonable time, but by then, the inconsistency had soured the experience. This is not the kind of service we’d expect from a property claiming to be 5-star. The front desk staff were polite, but their demeanor lacked the warmth and attentiveness typical of high-end resorts. They seemed perpetually busy with paperwork and calculations, and the check-in process felt outdated—it’s 2024, but they still rely on paper forms and cash deposits. I didn’t have Thai Baht at check-in, so they accepted USD, which was fine, but make sure you remind then at checkout to return the deposit as I forgot as normally al is signing a credit card and they called me when we where like 30 min from hotel on our way to the airport already. Thank god they communicated with the taxi driver and we got our money back. Small details like this matter, especially at a supposed luxury resort. Overall, I’d rate this hotel a solid 3+ stars. It’s a cute spot for a short stay and some beautiful pictures (pro tip: wake up early to get clear shots in the kayaks before the pool gets crowded). The breakfast was good, and the rooftop pool made for a chill, enjoyable time. But if you’re looking for a convenient location with lots to do and see nearby, this is not the place. It’s fine for a brief escape, but not for a full honeymoon experience or an...
