Used Books Cafe — Restaurant in Wichit

We called ahead of our 45min ride to Used Books Cafe. Lady on the phone assured us that they were open and had meals.

Arrived to find absolutely nobody around. The place was very dirty - SWARMS of ants in the kitchen sink all over the dirty plates and cups in the sink, flies around the kitchen, filthy kitchen, grubby kitchen utensils, grimy floors. Looks little like the clean, bright and homely space in other reviews.

I called out in each room hoping to find someone but no one responded. I remembered reviews about a lower floor so we went down to look for someone. There is a flight of stairs outside the house to a lower level.

Found a lady sitting in a chair downstairs. Waved at her. She looked at us and then turned away like we were bothering her.

We left the place immediately after. Didn't have an appetite after viewing the grisly kitchen space either.

Not sure if it was a bad day/season but save yourself from making a trip here. The view is mostly...

My family and I have tried countless Thai dishes, both in Thailand and in various countries, but nothing prepared us for the exceptional experience we had at Used Books Cafe in Phuket Witchit. This small, unassuming hole-in-the-wall place is truly beyond words and unexpectedly delicious.

Everything is made fresh from scratch by a dedicated family, and it shows in every bite. The flavors are authentic, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. As someone who considers themselves a strong judge of good food, I can confidently say this is the best Thai cuisine my wife and I have ever had. I spent 2 weeks near here, Feb 16- Mar 3 2019. The coffee was expensive and not great in my opinion, I stuck to the shakes. I rate this 5* not for the coffee: I received a great massage here, 90 minutes oil massage was fabulous. I do not like hard pressure and she read my body very well.

The staff can get distracted sometimes, the shop has 2 rooms and sometimes you need to remind them you are over in next room. This place is fabulous, good view, nice staff, great massage, delicious food, reasonably priced for the area.

Tiger is sweet kitty totally chill.... I miss these...
