Very bad experience First I paid for the airport transfer 40 dinars one way. Very late check in I was very tired and no dirink is welcome, I don't understand where the hotel management or general manager or FOM can't control the hotel staff. I can't believe they have a dirty receptionist like this girl. She was talking to me in a very bad way, no respect at all, when I was asking for my bill as proof that I paid for the taxi, she said do whatever you want I don't care (etsaref) I'm so sorry she doesn't know what hospitality means. Even the owner of the hotel never talks to the guest this way. And when i went to my room no accor amenities no bathrobes one bottle of water very hot no cup no fridge. The safety deposit box was definitely not working. I was asking her to send me the engineer, but I was waiting for a long time, and no one came. After a long wait, I fixed it myself. No one can believe that I only have one hanger. When i asked her, she replied that they only have one and I will not give you more. The housekeeping attendant on the night shift helped me he and gave me over five hangers. This lady needs at least one year training to know how to welcome guest and how to smile, I'm sure she never respects her manager because she really doesn't care... So when I called her to send someone to help me unload the luggage, she answered help yourself 3 star hotel does not provide this service, I asked her for her name she looked at me in a bad way for what you need, you will find my name when I send you an email you will find it there and she did not send anything. IBIS hotel not a hotel so it sure has that quality of staff that works without the name tag. I will thank housekeeping tonight's service and security who was helping me with luggage and hangers. Ahh I forgot to say something when the hotel has so many problems the guest can forget everything because the staff are friendly and smiling and helpful thanks for this bad experience I will...
Read moreRooms are very small and very basic, like a jail cell with one very tiny window. Rooms temperature is controlled by the management so they choose if you get air conditioning or not. So when it’s hot outside, your room is very very hot too but when you tell them, they act like it is the first time they are hearing it; don’t be fooled, they know exactly what’s going on. ||Service in the front desk with the exception of two people is completely non-existent and you have to try very hard to get service and responses. The girl in the front desk with the black hair is usually smoking in the back office and playing on her phone and the restaurant staff have to tell her to come out to serve at the front desk. The other blonde haired girl, her name starts with A, is very mean and rude to most guests Omar and Asma are very nice. Housekeeping is super slow and not organized. ||Restaurant staff provide no service at all, not even a greeting. If you ask a question, they clearly are not happy to be disturbed from playing on their cellphones. They hide in the corner and gossip all throughout the meal service and play on their phone. ||It is not walking distance to the Old Town, it’s quite a walk so be very prepared to walk or take a taxi. Use Bolt Taxi and drop the price 3 dinars if you want to negotiate a rate. ||Airport to hotel from departure area was about 7 dinars but you can get it at about five dinars. ||Food is horrible at the hotel but they do serve an overpriced breakfast buffet. ||Outside it is very...
Read moreStayed here with a family member for three nights, while sightseeing in Tunis. We arrived at about 2230, and our reservations for two rooms were waiting for us. Mohammad, the clerk who checked us in was extremely helpful and provided accurate advice about taxi fares and tour drivers the next morning. He explained he worked in the nearby Ibis Styles hotel but was filling in at this hotel for the evening.||The rooms were comfortable but old; the air conditioning was excellent; plenty of hot water in the shower. The beds were decent and all the electrical outlets ere operational. Breakfast was decent, but nothing to brag about. ||About 1900, Saturday, 21 Sep, I went to the front desk to exchange money before going out for dinner. I had some dinars but wanted a few extra - the female desk clerk apologized and said she did not have any cash to exchange. We discussed the location of the nearest ATM etc. Finally, she reached in her purse, and handed me about 20 dinars to have with me as extra funds for taxi etc. ||We returned after dinner, and the lady receptionist still did not have any dinars. I paid for her advance in my local currency.||This lady, whose name I do not know, went above and beyond and essentially lent me money from her own personal funds.||I strongly recommend this hotel use this lady in a position of additional responsibility. I would return to this hotel...
