I spent 4 days in a single room at the hotel. We were a group of 27 people, but we had a single room each. Here is a list of what my friends and I hated (which are a few) and what we loved (which are a lot) : What I / we hated: I wanted to change from Euro to TND in the hotel. The rate in the hotel is good but we was not good is that the person behind the counter tried to rob us: instead of having 100 TND the person gave me only 80 TND. I was not expecting this from an hotel such as Novotel so I did not count money after receiving them. But my friends who did found a short of 20 to 40 TND in each of them 9they dealt with different agents not only one). When we asked for the amount that is short, we were given those amounts without any check, which means that they knew they gave us less money. My advice to you is to never trust the front office of Novotel in the money because they will rob/ steal you. Unlike other hotels, Novotel does not provide you with soft shoes or sandals to walk with. I guess this more of a suggestion to the management: Please provide your clients with sandals. I had to buy ones in order to use them for the shower, toilette, or when I simply walk down to have breakfast. My friends made the same remark. The swimming pool was not working, and the chairs next to it were full of dirt and sand. It is sth that the hotel should have notified with before. We brought our swimming suits all the way from Morocco, but ended up without use. The gym is smaller than what it looks in the pictures. What I / WE loved: The room is awesome. The door and the window glass are noise/sound proof. When you enter and close the door and the window you will not hear any noise from outside. Total calm. You can sleep really well. The hotel offers you a bottle of water per day, and the room has mini refrigerator that you can put water in. Above the mini bar there is a boiler that you can use, and below it there is mini safe that you can use. There is a very good “office” in the room that moves easily, and can be used for a variety of services. There is a TV in the room where you can watch soccer games, and a clean shower and clean toilette, with a nice and tidy bed. The customer service team are very good in their service and can speak several languages (besides the fact that some of them are thiefs). The staff treat the customers as kings really. I honestly felt that I was treated as a king by all the hotel staff. If there was not the “steaking incident”, I would have given 5 stars in my review. The food is great and delicious, but I feel that the price is more expensive than what it should be. The hotel is just 10 mins away from the airport by car, and 30mins away from Bousaid by taxi, and just a 20mins walk distance from...
Read moreThis is a letter I sent to TRAVELURO - beware of being scammed as you can read from other people who were not as fortunate as me! Should be 0 stars, but 1 star is minimum to make a review!! ||||Thankyou for refunding me within 10 minutes of making the booking for a £12 "special offer" against the normal price of £156 on "Booking com" for a 1 night stay in the NOVOTEL TUNIS! |I was astonished to see the £12 back in my account so quickly! ||I broke my own rules by not first checking Trust Pilot, Trip Advisor and other review sites about TRAVELURO before I booked with your "disgusting company"! ||I see now "the scam"!!! You return this small amount of money, give me 10% "bonus" off my next booking which will encourage me to rebook with TRAVELURO at the Novotel or other hotels of this standard at a much higher "Normal" price. ||Then, that is when you will complete the scam by giving me a false sense of security with this refund and an apologetic letter explaining the "technical difficulties with the booking". I then make ANOTHER more expensive booking with TRAVELURO and never see my money again and the hotel concerned denies having any dealings with"TRAVELURO" when I arrive at the reception!! ||I have always used reliable Booking.com for 15 years travel to 45 countries without not even one problem!!!||So thankyou for the £12 "refund" and in case you had any ideas about trying to obtain money from the card I paid it by - don't bother - the card is cancelled!!!! 😂 ||I shall also be warning all my contacts about TRAVELURO and the scam repeating that "if it looks to good to be true" then it probably isn't true!||If this letter just stops only one person from being scammed, it will be a victory!!!! ||I only know of TRAVELURO on looking at NOVOTEL in Tunis! Be aware of this company when booking hotels, anywhere in the world!!! ||It certainly is brining the name of Novotel Tunis into disrepute with these "scam" bookings! ||||Happy travels and...
Read moreI have been lodged in this hotel for 6 nights in May 2022. The location is very good because it is close to the airport 10 min by taxi and 20 min far from the down town by walking. The room is modern and wide with restroom separated from the bathroom that includes a middle size tube. With shower. Boiler, fridge, safety box, and flat screen are present and working. During my stay the conditioning air was not working and i was supplied a portable device that did not fully fixed the issue. The window does not close well because the sealing gasket is old. This compromises the sound proofness in the room. The sky bar and pool are closed and their access is forbidden but it is not indicated anywhere. The gym is very small and not well cleaned. Some of the devices do not work because the electric wires have been removed. The staff is very kind (even too much). The cleaners are kind and very active. The breakfast is very poor. No buffet only some seeds and cereals, some baskets with cold croissants and a pre-done smal dish with 2 slices of salami and cheese wraped in transparent paper (see the photos). The coffe povs are limited and run out in a while. The service for breakfast is absent and not happy to help if requested. It s very frustrating. I would have expected much more types/selectiond of foods for this kind of hotel. The photos of the breakfast buffet posted on the web were absolutely stunning.... But the reality is comoletely different. On the contrary one night I ate at the hotel restaurant (buffet dinner) and the food was good and abbundant. The overall conclusion is that this is not a bad hotel but definitely there are more convenient places where to lodge in terms of services,...
