Özilhan Hotel — Hotel in Çankaya

The hotel is in a great central position. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel though is in dire need of simple things like repainting. My room was a good size, but it absolutely stunk of cigarettes, being a non smoker this was pretty unpleasant. The room was clean but it was things like the curtains that smelt so strong. There was a balcony off the room, surely smoking should be restricted to those areas. The bathroom was clean, but the door was tatty and chipped, and the shower curtain had seen better days. I was on a B & B deal and must say in all my years of travelling in Turkey this was the worst breakfast. I am so used to it being the norm to have things like tomato and cucumber available but there was nothing fresh looking to be seen. The wifi was free and good. All in all not bad for a central location city hotel but a bit of decorating and stopping smoking in the rooms would...

Very professional receptionist. Very nice staff. They were always very helpful. Nice balcony. Nice location. Big room. WiFi available. Yet the rooms smell very badly. Sanitary wise I do not approve. Dirty dishes. I stayed there for 7 nights. Laundry is close (350 Tl for 7 kilograms), you can find much cheaper deals in the north of the city. If they can do sth about the old sheet smell and the toilet smell, it’s an ok hotel. The smell is quite powerful. I slept on my clothes so that my hair and body would not take that smell.
