UPDATE: I have returned to KORELEE and confirm that they have successfully solved some of their past issues. I even went twice to make sure. The chicken is delicious and coming out hot now. It is much more efficient. I have updated my review to show the current state. I can't wait to go back.
OLD REVIEW: I wish I could give them the full five stars, but they still have some organizing to do to handle busy times. The last time we were there, our fried chicken arrived cold. This time when we went, our chicken didn't arrive for more than 40 minutes. After waiting so long, we told them we just wanted to go without the chicken. Our waitress then took a long time to bring the bill and then came with the chicken in a box. We didn't even want the chicken and were now late for an appointment but she was pushy about it. We really enjoy them and have come there more than 8 times, but I think we will let them mature and gain some more experience before coming back again. They are tasty food and we wish...
Read moreAfter numerous attempts to dine in here, I was finally able to find a seat late afternoon. This place is always crowded, with a long line of customers waiting to be seated.
First, staff is very helpful and nice. I wasn’t expecting this much friendliness so this is good.
I liked the cheese balls a lot, they are a must try imo. For the main course I got the vampirelee chicken. I ordered the hottest choice available (there is mild, moderate and hot for this dish). It was good, but very salty for my appetite.
Place is moderately inexpensive, and very budget friendly if you take free appetizers to account. Long line is most certainly due to price / performance ratio, which is great.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good place with authentic Korean dishes, but overall it’s not worth to wait in a long line to be able to find a seat. Therefore I give 4 stars. I will surely eat here again, and do recommend you too if you don’t bother...
Read moreI recently visited Korelee and overall, I had a pretty good experience. The food was delicious—full of flavor and nicely portioned. The ambiance was quite cozy too, perfect for a chill meal or hangout with friends.
Service-wise, it started off a bit frustrating. I ordered several dishes because I wanted to try different things, and I asked if they could pack each dish separately for take away . At first, one of the staff refused, which honestly made me consider giving a 1-star review.
But thankfully, another staff member—a kind, chubby guy—stepped in and helped pack everything the way I wanted. He was super helpful and polite, which completely changed the experience for me. Thanks to him, I left satisfied and decided to give 4 stars instead.
One small downside: the food took a while to arrive. Not too long, but definitely noticeable.
So if you're planning to eat at Korelee, just be a bit patient—but the food is...
