This was our first visit to Alanya, Did the usual research using the knowledge of fellow TA reviewers and opted for an 18 night stay at Blue Heaven, Situated centrally, A ten minute walk from the main road whch runs parallel to the expansive beach with many bars & restaurants.||We emailed Blue Heaven requesting a high level room with a pool facing balcony that receives the sun late afternoon / early evening, Karen (Manager) responded quickly to advise that the hotel was full but would do the utmost to fulfill our request.||The transfer from the airport was approx 2 Hours, Arriving early evening the greeting was super friendly from Karen, We were given room 122 and our friend's were on level 3. The apartment a great size with a large balcony, Suited us fine as it got the sun early morning & late afternoon. The plan was to have a quick freshen up and find our bearings, That didn't go to plan as the pool bar looked inviting so ended up spending the first night dining & drinking in the friendly atmosphere, Great food, Cheap drinks great start.||The following morning Karen shared with us her expansive knowledge of Alanya and the surrounding area = Fantastic.||The pool area and pool itself was kept absolutely spotlessly clean, The sunbeds were washed every morning, The cleanliness of the pool checked throughout the day, My wife often commenting that it was one of the consistently cleanest pools she has swam in over the years.||There is no pressure from the Blue Heaven staff to eat at the hotel, Karen will even recommend restaurants in the local area. The times we did eat poolside the food was tasty & plentiful (The Chicken salad was Devine) all very very reasonable priced as was the Efes.||The girls wanted to visit a hamman for a pampering session, Karen arranged for a session (Ladies only) at Vita Bella a 15 minute walk from Blue Heaven, The girls returned 2.5 hours later looking years younger & refreshed.||Our friends had only booked a 10 day stay and were gutted that we had another 8 days of Blue Heaven hospitality. The holiday season coming to an end didn't detract from what Blue Heaven offers, As the number of guests dwindled the impeccable service of all who worked for Karen never dipped.||How does the hospitality get any better we asked ourselves..... On our penultimate day Karen invites the two of us to have a BBQ with all the staff, Cook, Cleaner, Poolman, Bar staff, Debbie on reception & Karen's family, A great afternoon with the Blue Heaven Team ... Thank You All.||||If there has to be a negative......... Book early to avoid disappointment as guests return year after year, It's gonna fill up & stay full.||||Enjoy the holiday in India Karen, A well deserved rest...
Read moreAs most of the other reviews confirm, I booked this hotel based on the fabulous reviews.||Karen and her team are so lovely, welcoming, friendly and genuine. We arrived in the early hours after a long journey, it is almost a two hour transfer from the airport, are room was on the fifth floor and there was thankfully a lift, the apartment was spacious, and spotlessly clean. Two sofas, a small tv, two electric ring cooker, fridge, separate bedroom with two single beds, I would recommend the air con especially during the hot months, we couldnt manage without it, and happily paid £5 a night.||Karen was around to greet us the next day and advised us on local buses, directions etc.||The pool is adequate for the number of customers with a pool side bar where you can also order food. I had the bombay chicken and it was delicious.||The location is great, five minutes to local restaurants and kebab places, prices are so cheap, just over £3 for a chicken kebab, chips, rice etc.. of course there are more expensive places and lots of choice. The main street for shops and the harbour are about 15/20mins walk.||We went to Dim Cayi on the dolmus for 50p each way, the bus stop is two minutes away, a lovely place for a picnic and much cooler than Alanya, worth a trip, ;Side also is lovely but not as straightforward to get to.||We also had 3 days in Cappadocia the hightlight of the holiday for me.||All in all we had a great 12 days, certainly our choice of hotel was a good decision, and special mention to Fethi on reception, always greeted with a smile a great asset to the team. thank you Karen and team for a...
Read moreMany comments have been made about Karen and her team and in short I can totally endorse them all. 44 years in the travel industry and I have seen just about all there is to offer in the way of accommodation. I can without doubt fully endorse Blue Heaven. Location for beaches and shops and fantastic restaurants ticks all boxes. Friendly staff and well maintained and superb facilities ticks all boxes. Today there is a lot of talk about safety and through Karen and her team everything felt comfortable and completely stress free. This is not all inclusive but there are many very reasonably priced establishments nearby and the Blue Heavens bar and restaurant offer superb reasonable priced food and drink, available day and evening which you can eat and drink in relaxing surroundings pool side or inside.Alanya is not Antalya and offers a wonderful old town with shopping and a large bazaar and harbour experience. The hotel is a welcome and valuable alternative to the many large hotels between Antalya and Alanya offering all inclusive and staying with 1500 Russians and 20 Brits.||There is a lot of repeat custom and this is always certainly a real endorsement of just how good something in life is. This hotel is...
