Muratzade Konağı — Hotel in Altındağ

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked the Murat Bey. When I arrived, I couldn't see it anywhere. There was a 'guardhouse' or something outside the Ankara castle and the guardman phoned the reception at the Hotel to come receive me. The receptionist took my luggage and led me into the Ankara Castle, up narrow cobbled streets within the castle. I had booked a single room just for one night. The room was only for one person and for one night, it was alright. However, I couldn't receive any wifi from my room and the hotel changed my room till I could receive wifi. So I ended up in a kind of family suite but wifi still wasn't great. The hotel is very close to the Anatolian Civilisation museum which was the main reason why I stayed there. A charming hotel at very reasonable expence. The owner Murat Bey that is usually there is friendly and gives a warm welcome. He is passionate of ottoman oldies and his hotel and rooms have this flair of caractere due to old pieces displayed all around. Even thow the rooms are not that large due to an old building full of corners some of the rooms are bigger even some on two stories. All what is essential is there and if one has a special request the owner will try to provide you what you request or where to find it in the city. I stayed there twice one week and really recommend the place in this capital that is not usually that welcoming and has not much caractere appart from malls culture and state...

This charming boutique hotel, designed by the owner Murat Bey, a very talented architect, boasts high standards of comfort for a California-minded tourist. ||||The cottage-house feeling hotel reminded me of cave hotels in Capadoccia. It is absolutely a true gem in the capital. Located next to the ancient castle in Ankara in a peaceful, tourist friendly and pretty neighborhood, a fantastic spot to visit. ||||Quite and relaxing at night.
