Not Worth €500 per Night – Disappointing, Poorly Managed, and Far from Boutique Quality We stayed at this property in the kingsuite with our family of five (2 adults, 2 children, and a baby), and despite the promising photos and boutique hotel label, the experience fell drastically short — both in quality and professionalism. At €500 per night, one expects a certain level of comfort, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this stay provided none of that. Check-in and Payment Issues Upon arrival, even though our booking clearly indicated the number of guests, the host demanded immediate payment — excluding taxes — and then informed us that a bed was missing. The only solution offered was to pay an additional €100 on the spot, late in the evening. This unprofessional approach felt like a last-minute upsell scam rather than hospitality. Basic Comfort and Hygiene Lacking The room reeked of a strong sewage odor from the bathroom that spread throughout the entire space. The host attempted to explain this away as the smell from a wood stove, which it clearly was not. There’s a big difference between a cozy fire smell and the unmistakable scent of faulty plumbing. A boutique hotel charging €500 per night should never allow such an issue to persist without immediate resolution. Other basic comfort and hygiene concerns: • No hand soap upon arrival — a fundamental hygiene necessity. • No bath salt for the advertised bathtub, making the experience feel incomplete and misrepresented. • No nightlight — the bedside lamp was broken. • Lighting was all or nothing, with no dim or ambient options to create a cozy atmosphere. • Showerhead was plastic and kept falling apart, which made showering uncomfortable. • Toilet installed absurdly high — legs were literally dangling in the air while seated. • Lack of towels — despite multiple reminders, we never received the correct number. We got 2 extra instead of the 3 needed, and no towels at all for the baby. • No baby bed prepared even though the booking included a baby. • No room cleaning on day 2, and we had to request toilet paper ourselves from reception. • No slippers or bathrobes, which are basic amenities in boutique accommodations. • No welcome water or snacks, and minibar was either empty or non-existent. Service Experience The overall attitude of the host was dismissive, bordering on rude. After multiple requests for essentials (towels, toilet paper), we were ignored. However, credit must be given to the woman serving breakfast — she was the only team member who showed true hospitality: kind, helpful, and professional. Final Thoughts This was far from a boutique hotel experience — more like an overpriced guesthouse with poor management. The interior may look appealing at first glance, but this cannot compensate for a complete lack of service standards, hygiene, and guest care. A true boutique hotel should provide: • Clear and professional communication • Personalized welcome based on the guest profile • High-quality linens and toiletries • Daily housekeeping • A clean, well-maintained bathroom • Flexible lighting and functioning amenities • Respectful, guest-focused service This property unfortunately failed on nearly all fronts. We checked out deeply disappointed and would strongly advise others to think twice before spending this kind of money here.

There are certain dreams that are never forgotten for a lifetime. There are also Some journeys that feel like a dream. REC’326 is at the forefront of these dream journeys. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to see various places in the world, breathe in their air and get to know their people. REC326 is now the crowned jewel of all my journeys. Rezan is not only the main architect of this “dream journey” and also the builder of this magical konak with immense effort and awe inspiring stories that are present in every inch of his guesthouse make you wonder if you might be dreaming. Words fall short to describe the majestic Rec326 The beautiful gem of a human soul, the owner Rezan, the efforts he made to build this “konak” with his bear hands and the incomparable beauty of Mardin, complete one another effortlessly.. Mardin what an indescribable and enchanting place you are Only a place like Rec326 would suit such a magical city and a host/angels. Since when did angels host beautiful stays? It was an extraordinary experience with extraordinary people. And in our lives we know you as our dear friend Rezan. Without you there would be no REC326 I am endlessly grateful to you for leaving such "traces" in our lives

We stayed here for one night as a couple. The owner was very hospitable and helped us with the luggage. Also we came by car and google maps took us the wrong way. The owner called us beforehand and told us what route to take. We had room #5 and I have to say it was amazing. The hotel amplifies the historic aura of the city. Breakfast was amazing. In front of our room door they had our breakfast placed with a lovely view. I highly recommend this hotel! The girl with the hijab who served us breakfast gave us amazing advice on which sites to visit and she was so hospitable. Thank you both!

Staying at rec326 was hands down the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable and clean — every little detail was thoughtfully curated.||The hotel is something truly special — a boutique hotel full of character, history, and charm. A perfect blend of tradition and modern and aesthetic comfort. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home; their kindness and care were unforgettable.||Thank you to the whole Reç family, for your exceptional service. I can’t wait to come back! I can highly...
