Kunterbunt Istanbul Aparts — Hotel in Beyoğlu

A friend who is an "Airbnb expert" insisted we tried one in Istanbul and let me just say next time, I think I will stick with hotels. Clean, basic, close to Taksim square and a taxis park but many details to make one's stay more comfortable, missing. Nothing prepared me to lug my cases through spiral stairs to a 3rd floor apartment. Not sure but we were very wary of an aperture on the tv that looked suspiciously like a camera; we draped a scarf over it for all of the two day stay. Smallest room is very small with low ceilings but very comfortable though. Clean, good shower and bed. The reception was great and the host very friendly and helpfull. She gave us some good restaturant ideas in the neighbourhood.
