Dürümce Taksim — Local services in Beyoğlu

And this is the last place I would like to describe or rather highly recommend during our stay in Istambul. We love such places on our culinary map because they prove that even in the most touristic area you can eat delicious food. Istanbul has so many delightful spots to eat that you literally won't have room in your stomach. We ate at this place probably four or five times. Once we even ate inside, because you can obviously take it away but also eat in the "restaurant". I won't go into detail, I just highly recommend it. I am pleasantly surprised that a place literally a stone's throw from one of the city's main arteries is able to maintain such a high level of service and food. We love their kebab and little peppers served with it were wonderful too. The grilled lamb is excellent. We even tried liver... Wow!!! Not everyone likes liver but I was lucky that my aunt was a great cook, serving delicious Polish dishes, so she also made fantastic liver, and the one from Durumce Taksim was equally classy. Finally, I would like to add (once again :) that this place would be another kebab place in Istanbul serving brilliant food but thanks to the staff working there for me it became a place worth remembering. Anything I say about this restaurant will not do justice! The food is amazing! We had lentil soup, kebab, chicken skewers, liver and chicken wings. They all come in a plate with a side of bulgur pilaf, tasty bread, vegetables and a salad! The atmosphere is very authentic - lovely! And the staff, what can I say about the staff? The loveliest friendliest people ever - the service is very friendly! We had an accident whereby my mom fell on the sidewalk the moment we left as it was raining - the amount of genuine care was incomparable. They all ran to the rescue, got us a car to take us to the emergency room at a hospital and even two of the team followed us there to make sure our paperwork is taken care of since we are foreigners (they didn’t leave before that was done). I could not believe my eyes! Goodness in people still exists, good people are out there. Whatever I say or do will not do them justice - these are the best people in Istanbul serving some of the best food in the city as well! Do not hesitate for a second to come and...

Used to love this little wrap shop for its affordable and tasty kebabs, but sadly, it’s not the same anymore. The place has become overpriced—400 TL for a greasy, not-so-fresh meal is ridiculous, especially when there are cleaner, tastier, and better value options nearby. The quality has gone downhill, and it feels more like a money grab than genuine cooking. Disappointing, especially considering how much we used to enjoy it. Save your money and find a better spot in the area!

So, because I managed to eat the food, that automatically means it was worth 400 TL? Good to know that finishing a meal equals customer satisfaction in their book.
