Marida Residence - Istanbul Taksim — Hotel in Beyoğlu

Here is my review. Although the property is close to Taksim and provides quick access to the city the neighbourhood is disgusting, dirty and full of trash. I stayed in August and on the first impression it was actually Pretty good. Mattress was new, place was clean albeit a bit old. On the way back I realised my leg was full of bites with an allergic reaction I had to go to hospital. My fever was going close to 39. At that point I still didn’t know what the case was. However I had already left a good review for the hotel which I am sure they’re happy with. The doctor identified bed bug bites and my worst night mare had begun. I had to change my mattress becusse I carried them home, steam my entire room at home, all my clothing had to be washed again and some were ruined due to washing at high temperature. I did everything I could to prevent this and did try to complain to booking.com since the day it had Happened. I honestly think the whole area should be blown up and rebuilt. Just disgusting. Stay at a hotel and pay a fair price but do not stay at properties in this area. You know what the funniest part is?? I washed and dried all my clothes at high temperature before leaving...

I prefer to sleep in the street than in this hotel. The receptionist was so rude and think he was doing you a favour. The whole hotel is dirty and noisy. I found hairs on my pillow on my first day in this hotel. And when I asked them to replace my room, they said the hotel is fully booked, which it was not. And when I asked to check out early and get a refund, they completely refused. One of the receptionist who only speaks Turkish has multi duties such as; check you in/out, clean rooms, maintenance, etc..||||They will not clean your room unless you insist. Hot water in the shower will only run for a minute . I spook to Booking.com about it but they keep saying we will send your feedback to the hotel, as if the hotel cares about anyone's feedback.
