We stayed here from the 26th of August till the 31st of August 2025. Let's start by saying that the only good thing about this room was that it was closer to Taksim Square and Istiklal street. Everything was within walking distance from the bus stops to convenience stores. However, the room itself was horrible. It was not clean, and had a damp smell. The fridge had frost inside leaving no space for anything else and was also wobbling. The pans were full of grease and there was no dishwashing liquid or sponge provided. The bathroom had a really dim light, but even then it was fairly visible that the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. The shower door was broken and everytime we took a shower, there was water leaking from below that covered the entire bathroom floor. The bed frame was bigger than the mattress which made it uncomfortable to sleep on and the sheets had stains on them. One night, we got stuck inside the elevator on the 2nd floor. The doors weren't opening as there was trash stuck inside the little crevices. We didn't take the elevator after that. We decided to overlook all this because of its location but that was the biggest mistake we could have made. We woke up the next day covered in red bite marks, only to find bed bugs crawling all around us. We complained to the receptionist and she had the room cleaned. We thought the worst was behind us but little did we know that we had opened the gates to hell. Those bed bugs made their way into our suit cases and came all the way back to our home with us. We had to deal with a bug epidemic all because we decided to stay at this place. This place sounds like a good deal until you have to add the cost of fumigation and the mental ordeal that follows after staying here.

Good things - proximity to taksim square.. Caution - 1. Safety n security- neighborhood is dingy n unsafe, there are drunk n inappropriate young couples hanging around at night. There was a young boy who was obstructing our entry into the property.. a group of young boys drinking smoking n huddled around the lift near the reception area 2. Property- the property itself is a collection of rooms across the neighborhood in different buildings in the middle of a local vegetable fish n meat market. you check in at one place n then walk to the neighboring building up 4 floors (no lifts) small narrow stairs 3. Maintenance- 1 st room given to us had a double mattress with single blanket on the loft.. there was an iron ladder to access it.. when complained 2nd bedroom they gave had washroom which wasn’t working. The overall place was not maintained. 4. Cleanliness - the room was smelly, dirty bed n sheets, no towels, uncleaned bathroom - bottles strewn over. 5. Parking facility - there is no allocated parking.. the alley into the neighborhood may be used. However, it’s filled with the nearby market vendor vehicles- fish van which had smelling water draining from it.. the alley is also very steep n broken with pot holes..

The worst accommodation ever, very dirty and doesn't look like anything like on Booking website. We had to request a refund, but the receptionist refused, and offered us another, which was even dirtier. The sink in the bathroom almost fell on us, the mirror was so dirty that you could not see yourself properly, not to mention the smell that was everywhere. Avoid at all cost. Better to sleep on the streets, honestly. We had a complaint to @booking but we don't have received the money back because the hotel don't want to refund and say that room is ok.

I booked the room for 3 weeks, could only stay for 3 nights. First, the hotel is built on a very steep hill, so that every time you want to go somewhere, you have to go uphill. As I came, I was offered a very small room without air conditioner. There was a bed, the sheets had holes and the matress was stained. I didn't really have hot water and the shower door was broken. It was impossible to breathe in the room, it felt like there was no air whatsoever. Opening windows did help a little, but it was so noisy outside that I couldn't sleep all night long.

On the next day I complained and was offered an upgrade, so I moved to a different room - 4th floor, no elevator. The room was slightly bigger and there was some stuff from previous tenants here - food in the fridge, dirty pan, dirty cups and hair and dust on the floor. The promised cleaner didn't come. Soon I discovered the toilet couldn't flush (it was fixed the next day) and then there was no hot water at all (it wasn't fixed). The router was downstairs, so my Internet was about 1mbit/second at most.

I asked a manager for a refund and found another hotel nearby, where I relocated. Together with the manager we called the owner Omar, who said that if I don't like something - it is not his problem and I won't get a refund. In the end it took me 3 days, which I spend coming to the hotel asking the manager to do something, because every time they found excuses not to deal with issue. When I called booking.com myself, they sent an email to the property requesting a refund - the manager said they don't have an email address. Then they couldn't call booking, because they ran out of minutes on the phone. Then the other phone got broken etc. After 3 days that I spent arguing with the manager and owner we finally managed to get the email fixed and got a refund. Would not recommend this...
