I had a really bad experience here. that was my last day in Istanbul and I decided to buy some gifts for my friends, as I hold many boxes in my hand, one of there staff gave me a yellow bag and I thought it's like a shopping basket so I put everything in it for convenience, the manager was just beside me and said nothing about it, but when I reached at the counter, the cashier was surprised and asked me where the bag came from. I didn't remember the face of the employee who gave me that bag, so I told him that someone gave it to me. The cashier stopped the checkout and kept telling me this was wrong, that I shouldn’t take the bag, and what if I ran out without paying and so on. I was very angry because I felt that this was not my problem, some of your own staff gave me a bag and I thought it was something like a shopping basket, I didn't know it was inappropriate and you cannot simpliy accuse a customer of running away without paying. I tried to explain my thoughts but it didn't work so I called the manager to explain, but after that, when the checkout continued, the cashier still kept telling me that he just wanted to say that I shouldn't have taken this bag blah blah blah. I felt really confused and hurt bcs if you find a problem with your employees' work processes, instead of blaming and "educating" customers all the time, it is better to talk to your own employees. I know we may all be a little emotional in the end, but I really feel that I did nothing wrong. I stepped into your store with a very happy mood to choose gifts and I was accused of risking order evasion for no reason. I was very helpless and embarrassed at the counter but in the end, no one seriously apologized to me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m an Asian girl alone or some other reason. I definitely do not...
Read moreThis branch of Hafiz Mustafa was my favourite. Beautiful colours, people buying and loving everything they're trying and it's the perfect stop on your long walk along Istiklal street at Taksim. We found the most delicious and excellent quality of Baklavas, Turkish delights, Lokums made of honey with no sugar added, desserts, huge cakes and pastries, Turkish chocolates, teas, Hafiz Mustafa special puddings, sweet gift boxes and a lot of kind and welcoming people.
I had the berry pudding, which was by far the best pudding I've ever had. Which was followed by delicious baklava and Turkish tea. Their detailing is perfect to the T. All their packaging have their brand name. What stole my heart was the piece of Turkish delight they gave with their tea. No other place, not even other branches of Hafiz Mustafa provided such service.
Furthermore, you can vacuum seal anything to buy from here so that when you travel back home, your desserts will be fresh ever after your travel, and will also make it spoil proof.
Loved the experience, love the...

From the moment we stepped in, we were met with a warm, genuine welcome from every staff member. It’s rare to see such hospitality maintained at a place this famous, but they’ve truly held onto their authenticity and values, which I deeply admire.
A special shoutout to our incredible waiter Dawud — a true gem! He greeted us with a friendly face every time, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, and made the experience even more memorable. He’s a credit to the place and a big part of why we kept coming back.
Now… onto the food. Embarrassingly, I went there twice a day — and I have no regrets! Every bite was fresh, flavourful, and absolutely worth it. The pistachio milk pudding is an absolute must-try — rich, creamy, and unforgettable.
There are plenty of Hafiz Mustafa branches around Istanbul, but this one truly felt special. A must-visit when in the city. Can’t...
