I read all the reviews before coming here and still gave it a chance through my travel agency — big mistake. We paid for all-inclusive, but many things weren't included: food & drinks at the beach, sauna, massages, and more are all extra. Upon arrival, we were given a generic list, but details like needing to get and return towels daily from the spa basement weren’t explained. Our “comfort” room had dirty old plastic chairs, and only two bottles of water in the minibar. Housekeeping only made the bed, didn’t take out trash or replace towels, and didn’t restock water. The TV had no English channels, only Russian, Turkish, and German.
Food was very poor quality. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner were bland, cheap, repetitive, and mostly inedible. The coffee was weak machine-made, juice was sugary, and bar drinks were all alcoholic. After dinner, there is nothing to eat — not even snacks. I tried calling room service (which is extra, even for all-inclusive), but the room phone wasn’t plugged in. Reception gave conflicting info — one said there was room service, later another said there wasn’t.
My sister’s birthday was the day we arrived. The included services list mentioned “special occasion treatment” for birthdays, honeymoons, etc. I went to the lobby, and they promised a bottle of champagne and something extra the next day. As a hijabi, this wasn’t appropriate, but even so, nothing was delivered — now 3 days later.
The Wi-Fi is terrible. Whether in the room, by the pool, or on the beach, it constantly cuts out. Messages and calls don’t go through properly, and the connection is frustratingly unstable.
Due to the awful food, I looked for a real supermarket nearby — none exist. Only overpriced tourist shops with snacks and souvenirs.
Entertainment is nearly nonexistent. Mostly Russian music played by a “DJ” who repeats the same 10 songs nightly. Karaoke night was embarrassing. No Turkish night, no shows, no energy. I read reviews about the “Russian-only vibe” and didn’t believe it, but it’s true — it barely feels like Turkey. Everything caters to Russian guests, even the staff approach you speaking Russian before English or Turkish.
Staff behavior is inconsistent. Some are rude and impatient, especially to new workers — they even scold them in front of guests. Lobby staff often gave conflicting info and struggled with basic English.
We were not properly informed at check-in about key services like towel policy, drink limits, snack bar location, or how “extras” work. Everything was vague or had to be figured out on our own.
And the worst part: I got food poisoning the night before leaving. I vomited from 6 PM until midnight, eventually going to the hospital. I threw up in the lobby and the receptionist even asked my sister if I was drunk — despite being clearly covered. The hospital confirmed it was food-related. I barely made my flight home and was sick for days after.
Overall, this was a disappointing, uncomfortable, and frustrating experience. I do not...
Read moreHello everyone,
Today, I’d like to share my experience at the Lancora Beach Hotel, where I spent my holiday with my wife and parents in mid-October 2024. Initially, I didn’t expect much from the hotel, as I’d read reviews that mentioned some significant issues but still hoped for the best. My wife and I arrived around 1 a.m. and were greeted by two receptionists who quickly helped us check in and escorted us to our room. We had booked a “comfort” room, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to its name. The room was small, and the bathroom showed clear signs of wear and tear. However, since we were exhausted from our journey, we decided to accept things as they were and went straight to sleep.
In the morning, the first thing we checked out was breakfast. While the food was generally acceptable, it lacked variety. As I started filling my plate, I noticed a small black curly hair in the omelet, which instantly put me off. I understand that things like this can happen anywhere, but it was still disappointing.
One of my favorite parts of traveling is the chance to swim in the sea, so after breakfast, my wife and I headed to the hotel’s beach. Unfortunately, this turned out to be another major disappointment. The beach was quite dirty and covered with pebbles, and at one point, we even came across an open condom wrapper, suggesting that the area wasn’t cleaned regularly. Although the hotel advertises a private beach exclusive to guests, it seemed open to everyone; no one was checking wristbands or monitoring access, which made the beach overly crowded.
That evening, we decided to try the dinner, but this turned out to be another downside. I’ve never seen such a long queue just to get grilled fish. Dinner time was chaotic, and after a while, guests seemed to realize that if they didn’t grab their preferred food quickly, they might miss out on it altogether.
Later that night, around 11 p.m., we decided to call it a night, but the hotel’s music was still blaring. To make matters worse, loud music from neighboring hotels added to the chaos, creating a jumble of overlapping tracks that made sleep nearly impossible. It was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had in a hotel. The remaining nine days were much the same, and by the end of our stay, I was actually relieved to go home.
However, I don’t want to end my review on a negative note, so I’d like to mention a few positives. First, I’d like to extend my gratitude to one of the waiters, Ali, who was always cheerful and attentive, making guests feel well looked after. Additionally, while I’d heard mixed reviews from other guests, we personally had no issues with room cleaning services. Lastly, the hotel’s proximity to the city center is definitely convenient for anyone looking to explore...
Read moreThis was the worst experience i’ve ever had at any hotel. Its the first time in my life when money magically disappeared from my room. Already tried to report this to the reception but i doubt its going to get solved or that i’ll get my money back. Aside from this, a relative of mine basically received a room that was smelling very bad (like sewer) and the response to this was that they had an economy room? They switched it with another one that had a strange smell as well. Food was decent but very repetitive. Main pool didn’t serve any purpose because it only had 2 sun beds and you weren’t allowed to swim in it 90% of the time. Staff barely knew any english.
Edit: since the hotel does not want to give all the details, i will.
I initially thought it was only about 20$ but i realised that i was missing another 50$ note. The hotel offered to call the police but that meant that i had to stay 2 more days there. I was leaving in ~6 hours. I cannot afford to take more vacation days just because they dont want to check who entered my room without police. You know for sure who cleans the rooms, its not that hard to check that.
Also, the piece of paper you provided clearly says that you are not responsible for things lost on the beach or at sea, not in my hotel room. For things stolen from my hotel room, you are 100% responsible. It’s not about the actual money (70$ dollars total), it’s about the fact that it feels like you don’t want to look into this unless there’s more work on my part as well (like taking the time to wait in turkey for the investigation). If i could trigger an investigation from my home country, i would. Also, the fact that not everything was stolen is a weird argument. Stealing just one bill every day is way less visible than stealing everything. I could think that im wrong about the contents of my wallet if only one bill is missing.
On the room issue, no one requested a balcony. We just requested a room that...
