I don't recommend this hotel at all. Don't be conned by the name "Crowne Plaza". You are in Turkey, after all. Nothing but rip off. We stated there 8 night and pre paid meals. The moment my son and I walked into the hotel, we went to dinner. My son is highly allergic to tree nuts. We got Margherita pizza, and he had an allergic reaction. We went to reception because ehis allergy medication didn't work. They called us a taxi to the hospital. They didn't accommodate or anything for the taxi. Don't get me started on Turkish hospitals. Cross contamination at play here. They didn't even accommodate the food. They packed the same food that hospitalized my son and gave it back to us in the middle of the night. We got back from the hospital, and since it was the first night, I told them to deduct the meal from my prepaid meals and refund me my money back for the rest of the stay. They talked their way into not giving me my money back. I could have eaten like kings with that money out on the street. My son barely ate breakfast. He only at 1 piece of sucuk and a piece of pancake. The money I paid for the meals wasn't worth it. The only thing they did was that they said they would cook whatever food my son pleased. Osan Bey came through with that, and our server Ozan was really nice. The hotel was a really nice hotel, I liked the tunnel connection from the pool to the beach. The beds were very hard, as well as the pillows. I couldn't get the TV to work. Kept saying there were no channels. The shower not having a door sucked. Everything was always wet in the bathroom every time you took a shower. So, I have this meal plan, we'll it turns out soft drinks aren't included. They told me I could get soup, salad, entree, desert, and something to drink. We'll one night close to 11 pm, I got beggers at my door asking me to pay 108tl for a tiny coke bottle that I had during dinner. What an embarrassment. They could have added to a tap at reception, but they came to my door in the middle of the night asking for a measly 108tl. What a joke. For my birthday my boyfriend sent me flowers from America using cicek sepeti, and the hotel wouldn't accept it. He went back and forth with the hotel, cicek sepeti just to surprise me. The receptionist kept saying we don't give put guest information which is great, but the people at Cicek Sepeti and my BF didn't want my information, they just wanted to leave the flowers and to be sent to my room or for me to pick it up. But the receptionist wouldn't allow it. I told Osman bey about this, and he had a "talk" with whomever and said no such thing happened. Meanwhile, I have screenshots of the phone calls. Osman Bey really came through, I guess he felt bad about what had happened, although he said it didn't. Him and Ozan surprised me with a birthday cake during dinner. It was such a lovely surprise. Very thoughtful of them. Lastly, I went to the Tour section to get a ride to the airport. After those prices, I said I may as well get a taxi. The way they trashed talked the taxis and how great their "VIP" cars are, trying to show off images of the car. I said I don't care, i need a cheap ride from the hotel to the airport."" Turkey is such a rip off, they suck you dry. So he went from 45 euros to 35 euros meanwhile I'm yelling at him to stop using euros. Not everyone is European, I'm in turkey using Liras. So I scheduled a ride for 6 am, the car didn't show up until 6:30 am. And that was because the receptionist made so many phone calls. If that was in America, I would have gotten a free ride or partial refund. Paid so much money fpr.them.to.arrive 30 minutes late after so many phone calls. In America, we use the phrase "time is money" because it really is. All they do is waste time and rip you off in Turkey. This hotel experience has been the worst experience in the many hotels I have stayed in in Turkey. The hotel being pretty and right next to the beach doesn't mean anything when everything else fails. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEN AT ALL.

There's a lot to say about this Crowne Plaza. We visited from the UK, and the brand is a known brand, hence why we booked it. Apart from the great service provided by all staff, there's not much positives to share. Though the property is close to the beach, it feels removed from the beach and feels like a deadend in comparison to the other hotels nearby. Feels like there is no life here and quite boring. No music, nothing except for the piano that plays for 2 hours every evening. We didn't even bother to use the pool because it wasn't appealing. Absolutely nothing is happening here. You will need to walk out of the hotel a bit or take a cab to experience some life. The spa is in the basement, and the whole floor has a damp smell and needs a lot of air. We didn't bother using the spa because it was just not looking great. The shop in the basement sells fake branded products. Though I understand that this is known in Turkey but for a brand like Crowne Plaza, I would expect real products only. The breakfast spread is very, very good. We are happy with the options. The dinner, though, wasn't that great. We ordered beef Shish and Adanna Kebab, and both came out tasteless, with no salt, no seasoning. The grilled chicken was bland, too. The fish dish was great, that is, both the sea bass and sea bream was a bit tasty. For a hotel that does not allow food from outside, I would expect great tasting food. The cleaning of our room was not properly done. It felt like the cleaners only did the barest minimum by laying the bed only. They could do better. The hotel looks quite dated (in terms of decor) in real life, unlike the pictures we saw prior to arriving. Given that only customers are allowed through the gates, I think having to sign up for WiFi within the hotel is unnecessary. By the time you are near the entrance, the wifi strength reduces anyway, so what is the point? Just make it easily accessible. The view from our room is part built up residential area and part view of the sea. There's not much to see. It's not an interesting view. We found that a lot of staff could not communicate to us in English, whilst I understand that this is not an English speaking country, I would expect that they can understand the basic to help foreign customers effectively. The people at the checkin desks can communicate effectively with us, though. The plus in all of this is the staff. They treated us well, and that made our stay good to an extent. If we had to return to the area of Turkey, we would only consider other hotels. Plus, it looks like Lara is a nicer area to visit than Konyalti.

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Antalya with my sister for her birthday. We chose a king bedroom with a sea front view, and the lady at the reception kindly gave us a room on a higher floor. The bellboy escorted us with our luggage, but we had issues with the door key from the start. Unfortunately, this problem persisted throughout our stay – our keys frequently stopped working, requiring us to go up and down repeatedly for assistance. A technician attempted to fix it, but the issue remained a daily inconvenience. The room itself had a few other drawbacks. The patio door did not block any noise from the main road, making it difficult to sleep with the traffic and music sounds from outside. The decor and room furniture could use a refresh, and the blanket on the king-size bed was quite small – it only covered one person properly if the other slept in the middle. Additionally, there was no milk provided for tea, and we were charged £2 for it, which felt odd as most hotels provide it complimentary with tea and a kettle. The big shower head did not work so we had to use the smaller one, but were unable to position it so had to hold it the entire time we would shower. On a positive note, the hotel did provide a lovely cake for my sister’s birthday, and the exterior and interior were impressive. The spa facilities were great, and we enjoyed a hammam and massage, although it was a bit uncomfortable to be placed in an air-conditioned room with a wet body, and the massage oil was not warmed. The spa staff were very kind and attentive, which made the experience pleasant overall. The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was well-equipped with toiletries. Restaurants and the beach were just a few minutes' walk away, and the hotel was helpful in calling taxis when needed. However, the room lacked a smart TV or AirPlay facilities, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel with some good points, but there are several areas for improvement in terms of room amenities and convenience.

We made the mistake of choosing this hotel as the retreat for our family's annual travel vacation.

The issues with this hotel began before we even got there -- interestingly, we were asked to "wire" our money to the hotel to guarantee reservations that had been made 5 months prior, credit cards weren't accepted as at other hotels. Upon submitting the funds, when I asked for an invoice breakdown, I saw that I had been grossly overcharged beyond my reservation quote, and that they had added a strange "Extra Person Charge" of 321.48 EUR (we were booked for the standard two rooms with two adults to a room, no additional people). When I inquired, I didn't receive an answer before, during, or after my trip at checkout. The explanation finally given after I left the hotel was that they charge per person, not per room, and that this is IHG policy (per their daytime manager). This is absolutely untrue, as multiple family members with multiple rooms never received the same charge, and IHG does not have a blanket policy for charging individuals. This was just one of the issues -- there were multiple others during our 6 night stay:

Despite an intense heat wave in the city, management never turned on the air conditioning in the main lobby. AC in the rooms would shut off automatically, necessitating manual reset repeatedly. On the third night, there were ants in and around the bed. We awoke one morning to find a notice that the monthly insecticide was going to be applied to our room -- there was no option to hold this while we stayed. No information on chemicals was given. The laundry service will run you north of 100 EUR. No table service at the morning breakfast area, not even if you're disabled as my elderly parents were. They don't use reservation numbers, just names, when accessing your account. If you're with multiple family members with the same last name, good luck. Our housekeeper kept showing us photos of sick children in hospitals, asking for money and hushing us not to tell management. We asked the concierge for several taxis to a local restaurant and were quoted a price for private vehicles -- we were misled that the quote was in Turkish Lira, but to our surprise after the service was used, it was in Euros. The key cards kept malfunctioning -- we had to repeatedly go down to the lobby to have them rekeyed. Our shower and sink were clogged the entire week. Harsh bedsheets (no Turkish cotton here), pillows were flat. Did I mention the ants? The lady in the lobby for the MedSpa service would get upset anytime we asked a simple question. When checking out, at least two managers asked us to leave good reviews. The final slap was at checkout, when I was told I couldn't leave the hotel unless I gave the reception desk my credit card PIN number for a room service bill I'd already paid by credit card. They said it was their policy to take personal PIN numbers on all transactions, otherwise customers could challenge questionable charges with their bank and stop payment -- I wonder why.

I am an IHG Gold Member, and as a well-travelled professional, I have never received the low quality of service I received at this establishment. Not only are they not deserving of 5-star status (far from it), they are an embarrassment to the IHG brand that is known worldwide for excellence. The negative experience here tainted my views of Antalya, Turkey, and I honestly couldn't wait to leave. For those who have been to 5 star resorts and hotels worldwide, don't book here if you're expecting a 5 star experience per...

We had originally booked from 24.07, but we decided an extra day as we had read so well about the hotel. We arrived on 23.07 with our 2 children. We started by taking a suite as everything else was fully booked. When we checked in, we were told at the reception that their staff would immediately come up with a baby bed and an extra bed in the room for our 6 and 1.5 year old children. The staff comes up with a broken baby bed that our son could climb out of. We were told that it was the last bed the hotel had and therefore we had to live with it, followed by the fact that they had no more extra beds and therefore we just had to use the sofa. We found it difficult to accept that a 5 star hotel only had a broken bed available and therefore we called the reception and complained about this. The reception sounded very surprised at the statement about this being their last bed. 5 minutes after we hung up from the reception, the staff came up with a new bed.

The following day (24/07) we had agreed with the reception that we should change rooms (due to our original booking). Here we were told that we just had to come after breakfast and it would be done. When we came after breakfast, we were told that the room was not ready yet. We were asked to come back again at 10.30 am. We choosed to stay in the hotel as it was not worth going out from the hotel and coming back again at 10.30. When it was 10.30 we came back to the reception. Here we are once again told that they are not yet ready. We could feel our frustration growing here. Why do you choose to promise something several times without sticking to it? Fair enough, we are human and an obstacle can too, but you don't promise your guests several times without keeping what you promise. We let our frustration get the best of us, and here we tell the reception that we don't want to wait any longer and that they must make sure to change the room for us while we are out and that we want a baby bed ready in the room for when we come back again as we don't want to spend more time getting up and down to the reception. We were promised that everything will be fine when we get back.

When we came back a few hours later and got our keys to our new room, we came up to a room without a baby bed and an air conditioner that didn't work optimally. AGAIN we had to go to the reception and there we were very frustrated. They sent up a baby bed immediately and sent up a technician to fix the air conditioning. Here we also expressed our dissatisfaction to the employee from the reception. All of the above is absolutely not right, this is a 5 star hotel and such mistakes must not happen. We have not felt cared for as guests at this hotel. Since we tried to reach out to the staff in the first place regarding our complaint and did not feel apologised, we choose to make a written report instead and to warn other families with children about this...
