Dear Management,
I am writing to provide feedback regarding our recent stay at Alexia Resort & Spa. While we had high expectations based on the hotel’s five-star rating and the promise of an ultra all-inclusive experience, we unfortunately encountered several issues that significantly impacted the quality of our stay. First and foremost, upon arrival, we received no guidance or information from the reception staff regarding the location of key facilities or how services such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner operate. The language barrier was a major issue, as most staff members spoke little to no English, with only a few exceptions. During one of our excursions, my partner lost her sandals, which the transfer bus driver kindly returned to the reception with our room number. However, when we inquired about them later, the reception staff denied having received anything. Due to the communication difficulties, it seemed they didn’t even understand what we were talking about. The elevators were consistently slow, despite all three being in operation. On multiple occasions, we had to wait over 10 minutes. Additionally, the elevators were in poor condition — handrails were broken and remained unrepaired for several days. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room did not function properly during the evenings, making it extremely difficult to sleep — an issue that is particularly troubling for guests seeking relaxation. The public areas, including the elevators, were uncomfortably hot, making them unpleasant to spend time in. The restaurant was often overcrowded during peak times, with no available seating. While the food was tasty, it lacked variety and became repetitive over the week. We also noticed that some of the older waitstaff were more attentive to German-speaking guests and largely ignored others. On several occasions, dirty dishes and glasses were left on our table from previous diners, and cutlery was often missing — which we had to fetch ourselves. Rarely did anyone ask if we wanted drinks or needed anything, likely due to the language barrier. In contrast, the younger staff were always polite, attentive, and proactive — never passing by without checking if we required assistance. The dessert selection was far below expectations. Except for a few traditional Turkish sweets, most desserts were of very poor quality — dry, tasteless, and unappetizing. The drinks selection was equally disappointing. The coffee was of especially poor quality, which, in a country known for its coffee culture, is frankly unacceptable. At the pool bar, we encountered several staff members who were rude and unfriendly. The cocktail menu was very limited, and even the most basic drinks were often prepared poorly. Some bartenders didn’t know how to make the drinks listed and had to read the ingredients off the menu — and the result was often undrinkable. Despite the “ultra all-inclusive” promise, we found that many drinks were simply unavailable or of very low quality. No imported drinks were offered at all, and there was only one type of beer, which was also substandard. There were far fewer sunbeds around the pool than needed for the number of guests, which made it nearly impossible to find a place to relax during the day. Overall, we left disappointed and frustrated. The promised “ultra all-inclusive” experience was not delivered in any meaningful way. Instead, we often felt overlooked or excluded, especially due to the language barrier. While the hotel is rated five stars, based on our experience, it would be more accurate to describe it as a low-end four-star or an upper three-star property.
Throughout the week, my partner and I tried to make the most of our time and enjoy our holiday, but sadly, the hotel and its staff contributed very little to that experience. We hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and used to improve both the service quality and guest experience at...
Read moreThe hotel is new and beautiful, rooms were cosy and the bed was BIG and super comfortable. The atmosphere was great, location was perfect, great place if you don’t want crowded pool with screaming children! The beach and promenade is just few minutes away and Side old city 20 minutes away. Spa was nice, Hamam is WORTH IT, food in the restaurant could be a bit better (chicken and fish mostly overcooked and dry- can someone explain the hillarious note next to the meat ine night “chicken sucks”? 😁) but still every time I could find something I liked. Animation team was the best, I can still hear the “AWWW YEAA” in my head 😁! I don’t understand where they get their energy. Loved the music (thanks to the DJ) 👍. The cleaning service was good, someone there has a good sense of humour although I almost had a heart attack when I found a person made of towels in my bed (it was very funny, thanks 😏). The snack bar was AMAZING, I was suprised how good the burgers were and the service there was always perfect!!! And the shisha guy was awesome, great vibes ☺️ and the evening staff in snack bar area was really nice and they did an amazing service every evening! The wifi is good, yes, good enough for Netflix and Whatsapp video calls👍 We stayed there for 2 weeks and there were some unpleasant moments as well. The elevator algorythm is not set properly, it does not understand how to prioritise where to stop. The first and third elevators are problematic and we got stuck three times! During those two weeks (this happened twice) in the evening and at night there was very strong sewage coming from bathroom. Really disgusting. The door sensors are not working properly, when you leave the room, the key-thing on the wall beeps all the time, maybe it thinks that the door is not closed. The restaurant staff, mostly great, but there were few times when we were not even noticed while they were chatting with guests right next to us who already had drinks… so no drinks for us. The Ultra All Inclusive - I don’t think so… the first evening I ordered specifically Jack Daniels with Pepsi and I saw that it was poured from JD bottle but it was DEFINATELY not Jack Daniels, i know how it smells, i know how it tastes and it is a scam. At least tell me that you are out of it, don’t try to trick me… After that I did not even bother to order a specific import alcohol. The beach area for Alexia is a bit small (which is fine) but the lounge chairs are too close to each other (in comparison to other hotel beach areas that were the same size).
But we had great time there, we enjoyed ourselves and we did not let anything bother us, thank you Alexia management and staff...

I booked deluxe room with 2 beds, but got a room with 1 bed and had to pay additionally for the proper room and there were still not the same beds as promised in my reservation. It was a room with a sea view, so firstly I was glad. Until I discovered at 21 00 that we can not fall asleep until 23 00 , because of the loud animation program on evenings. It was hard during our first day as we woke up at 5 AM to fly there.|alcoholic drinks in bars were watered, but that is more a benefit , as people got drunk slower.|There were no towels in spa sometimes and no sign at the beach that guests need to take towels at spa. So once I had to go to the beach and back to get a towel and I did not succeed in it as "they were gone". How it is possible not to have enough towels for every guests, especially using a cards system? And sometimes we got thinner towels instead of normal, as we came late for them, not at 8 30.|I asked to borrow scissors once, to fix clothes. Reception employee said that he could not do it because of safety reasons. Next day I saw another guest in the hotel who borrowed scissors and gave them back to them.|There was not enough space on the beach, not enough sunbeds|The beach employee started to whistle when I tried to move sunbeds a bit to use them together with my family and after whistling for 3 times to me finally came and said to me "SPEAK! ask for help". I did not ask him for the first time as I did not see him. He seemed very angry. Although he found place for us, later in the evening he saw the sand on my sunbed and feet and started to touch them with his broom for sand. It supposed to be a joke, right ? Is it appropriate for 5 stars hotel? also there is no toilet at the beach, only public one for 1 euro, and no information about that on the reception.|The fresh orange juice at the restaurant costed 2 euro. Financial crisis came, I assume, and got it. But this is not "Ultra all inclusive" than is they are promising in...
