Kalia Beach Hotel Side — Hotel in Manavgat

I recently stayed at kalia beach hotel side (who are changing their name to Nua side soon) with my partner. When booking we loved how the pictures looked, but when we arrived and saw the rooms it wasn’t looking so good.

The bathroom looked like bad work and that the sink would collapse at any moment. In the bedroom (which was upstairs) there was a window full of branches and insects crawling around (see picture).

In the “living room” there’s an AC, already from the first day arriving we had problem with it. It was leaking water, almost like a waterfall. It was fixed the same day👍🏼

The cleaning ladies are very friendly, but most times the floor would still be sandy even after cleaning. The breakfast was mediocre at best, it’s very small portions and the flavour is okay. I think anyone can do a better breakfast at home for a cheaper price. (See picture, breakfast for 4 people).

One day my partner laid on the bed to get his charger, suddenly the bed collapsed and broke on one side, so the bed looked like a slide. We talked to reception and got it fixed. Later that evening he raised his arm and then it collapsed again. We talked to the reception again and he said that the technician had gone home. Which is understandable (see picture).

Then we slept another two nights with the bed broken and no one coming to fix it. The only positive things I can say is that the people working there are really nice! And the place of the hotel is perfect, right by the beach. One more thing, don’t eat and drink at their restaurant. It’s beautiful but it’s tasteless and the drinks are probably the worst I’ve...

Please do NOT book this hotel. It was a total disaster. If I could give it -1000 stars, I would.

We booked and paid in advance in full, expecting this to be a quality hotel, but it was just an awful experience.

The reception is sketchy, and the room is worse. The shower is not working and the toilet seemed broken. The electrical outlet for the hair dryer were loose and not mounted in the wall.

There were lots of bugs, insects and spiders in the room. There were also hair from previous guests.

The shower had mold, and the walls aswell.

I cant imagine paying €700 for this room. Its a scam. I do not wish anyone to have the same experience as me.

We are waiting for the refund. We moved to another city and booked a 5-star hotel for around the same price. The owner did not want to refund. They said you can leave and we cancel it but you will not get anything back.
