The hotel is nothing like the photos. The towels and sheets have turned gray and are covered in stains. Most of these stains are rust stains, but they suggest much worse and dirtier things when you look at them. Check my photos carefully. The telephone looks like it’s from a past era—yellowed and aged. The curtains are too short and have broken buttons, meaning they don’t fully cover the windows. The walls are extremely thin—you can hear everything. On top of that, the bathroom ventilation carries the smell of cigarette smoke from other rooms. A smoke detector was only recently installed; apparently, there wasn’t one before.
While the breakfast seems to offer a variety of options, the quality is very poor. The pastries are either burnt, stale, cold—or sometimes all three. The scrambled eggs are greasy to the point that I couldn’t eat them. Although it appears there are four types of cheese, in reality, there are only two—they just add sauces or dress them up to make them look different. It feels like an attempt to mislead guests.
As I mentioned, the walls let every sound through. I could clearly hear my neighbor coughing, talking, and even snoring. Needless to say, the sound of their TV was loud and clear.
You can also see photos of the laundry room—yes, where they wash the sheets and towels. Honestly, if the door hadn’t been left open, I would never have seen this. But every time I passed by, the door was wide open, so I took these photos.
If you want a clean bed and a good night’s sleep without the fear of burning to death, I strongly advise against staying...
Read moreWe made a reservation with the hotel a few weeks before travelling. After a long journey and delays at the airport, all we wanted was a bed to rest on, but the hotel kept us waiting for at least half an hour at 11:30 at night because they couldn't find the reservation. ||||They eventually offered us two rooms two floors apart which was another thing that we were unhappy with. After arguing with them, they gave us two rooms that were on the same floor but a few doors away from each other when we had clearly requested rooms next to each other due to young children. Unfortunately, the staff cannot speak adequate English - thank god for Google translate!||||The following day, we were given rooms together. They were spacious but very basic ||furniture and the rooms really could do with some modernising. However, out of the four nights we stayed there, only on one occasion was the room cleaned and we had requested them to leave toiletries but they were not left. To top it all, they said we could pay in GBP in the reservation email which we had with us, but when checking out, the lady was very rude and after informing us she would only accept euros, dollars or liras, she sent a chaperone with my other half to change currency whilst the rest of the family waited in the lobby with the luggage. ||||My reasons for giving it two stars is the excellent location. It is two minutes away from Mark Antalya, and a ten minute walk to Kaleici Old Town. The breakfast was also extremely varied and something that made our...
Read moreCleanliness 0/10: The hotel is so old and outdated and that is fine with respect to its prices, but thats not all, unfortunately everything is so dirty and there’s a smell of mold everywhere. Rooms/hallways/restaurant/lobby are full of dust and stains on the beds/couches/floors. They dont put tissues in the room and the linens and blankets smell so bad and are a yellowish color due to being so old.
Location 10/10 : perfect location close to everythings (mall, train station, markets, shops, restaurants & cafes)
Service 3/10 : staff is rude and do not understand English well (barely some words) or any other languages but Turkish, hotel staff should be able to understand more than 1 language to be able to accommodate guests from different countries. The cleaning staff lady also told us she will not clean the room if we dont give her extra money (tips). Staff’s smell of sweat so make sure not to hop in the elevator with a staff member.
General comments: Lightbulbs are not working in the hallways so get nightvision goggles if u plan on leaving the room after 8 pm. No air conditioning in hallways and lobby so it feels like a sauna. Breakfast “buffet” has a max 5 plates of cheese. Sewerage system is so bad that you can hear it loudly and clearly in the room everytime anyone flushes the toilet or takes a bath. Shower stall is not closed with a door so everytime you take a shower the entire toilet turns into a pool.
Overall do not recommend , the only thing that made the stay bearable was...
