We have just come home from staying at Niss Lara for just over a week. We were originally booked into a different hotel, however we had move at extremely short notice. Niss made all the necessary transfers and got myself and two children in quickly, and professionally. I was a bit of a wreck when I arrived, and the owner of the hotel came in specifically to greet us. It seemed nothing was too much trouble. For instance, my youngest son dropped and smashed his mobile phone. The owner, Nisa arranged for it to be collected and fixed extremely cheaply. It was back within an hour! There is a free transfer to a beach, but the sunbed charge was 150 lira, so wasn't really free. The rooms were big enough, and toiletries provided were certainly more than adequate. I have given four stars simply because when we arrived the pool was closed for the season. If it had been open, it would have been perfect! Saying that, Nisa once again worked miracles and after I asked if we could perhaps use a local hotels pool (I was there for dental work so needed to relax afterwards, but obviously the kids needed to be occupied) she arranged for us to use a pool across the road! Sena the receptionist is also extremely helpful. She gave me directions to places, ordered taxis and always went out to speak to the driver to state our destination, found me some nail clippers when I desperately needed some, helped me when I couldn't print off my tickets, and was constantly smiling and on hand to provide anything we needed. Breakfast is Turkish, and buffet style. This doesn't suit everyone, but we didn't go hungry once. Housekeeping came in every day, and replenished water bottles, clean towels and bedding. I would most definitely stay here again. It's not a resort hotel, so don't book if that's what you want. If you would like something chilled and calm, close to the sea and friendly, then this...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK! We booked this hotel based on the photos which are completely fake, they have been photoshopped and airbrushed to look much better than they are. We stayed at this hotel and although we was told there would be daily housekeeping there was none at all unless you asked and even then you would be lucky if they came and cleaned your room. TV, hair dryer and phone does not work. We had a dead bug, dirty socks, hair in the sink and on 'clean' towels and in the bed and we was given a used soap bottle, used towel and used toilet paper on arrival.
The room was completely worn down, things were broken and the hygiene levels are -10, I am still shocked. From day 1 we spoke to the staff at the hotel and was told multiple times that this is just the room and if we wanted to swap rooms then it would be £150 PER NIGHT! Way more than what we originally paid. The staff kept telling us that they would swap us as we were threatening to report regarding the hygiene of our room and they would promise to swap our room and never did.
The pool itself was clean but the surrounding deck chairs were full of ants and had plates left on them for over 2 days.
The whole place just needs to be closed down. We were not the only ones in our hotel who complained, multiple people staying there were very unhappy and it just feels like one big scam. One of the guests staying moved hotels as they were in disbelief.
I wish I took more videos and photos to expose these people, it will not let us upload the videos but I have screenshot some of the photos to show the actual state of this place Horrible experience all...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at your hotel for two days. Since your property is located in the Lara area, we were expecting high quality, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed upon arrival.
We would like to note that the staff was very friendly, for which we are grateful. However, the condition of the room caused us great dissatisfaction: • It was impossible to switch off the air conditioning, as the remote control did not work. The only way was to remove the card from the energy slot. • The room was very old and shabby. • The balcony was in poor condition: the railing was broken. • The room smelled strongly of cigarettes. • Towels were torn, and both the bathroom and sink were dirty and rusty. • The shower cabin had no doors at all. • The toiletries, which should be provided new and sealed according to hotel standards, were half-used and already opened.
I am attaching some photos I managed to take as evidence of these issues.
We were very disappointed with the quality of accommodation, and we believe that for a hotel such conditions are unacceptable. We sincerely hope that the management will take the necessary measures to ensure such situations do not occur again in the future. And also I wanted to add that housekeeping staff don’t care about do not disturb sign on the door knocking only once while we were sleeping and entering the room!...
