We reserved tripple room for me and my parents. Let's start with the advantages: clean room, there is kettle in the room, its location is in the city center.
Disadvantages:
Small room No cupboard Rude staff No one of the staff speak English. I myself do not recommend this hotel as there are lots of better hotels nearby with the same or lower price.
As several reviewers condemned the staff and the breakfast. I would say that the main problems of this hotel are the breakfast and staff rudeness and this issue shouldn't be underestimated. It's not a buffet so you have to wait untill they bring you the food which is very basic and not explained because they gather the plates in a trolly and fills it again when runs out. The boy of the food trolly arrived to us with small plate of fried egg and he put it infront of my father and the trolly runs out the egg plates. After 5 minutes, I asked him if he would put egg plate for each one of us. He pointed by his finger on each of us to eat the only fried egg that my father ate Loool. I said if he could give me an egg (it's really funny). He waved his head saying okay. I waited for 15 minutes and reminded him gently again. Finally, he came and showed me a message in google translate saying you asked for extra egg and there is a line and you have to wait Loool. Ofcourse, this is weird and I told myself may be the hotel runs out the eggs. I checked out and reserved another hotel very near to it and made myself happy. We payed 2750 Turkish Lira for 3 people. And the other hotel faraway better with open buffet and I paid 2700...
Read moreYou can get to know Edirne best if you stay in the old part of the city. Almost all important sights are within walking distance. Right there, in the very center, is the Midis hotel. My husband and I spent one day and night on the way to the sea and again three days and nights on the way back from vacation. The hotel is excellent and everything works flawlessly! The room with a double bed was clean and spacious. The bathroom is also big and clean.. Everything is very modern. It is obvious that an interior and exterior architect was involved in this arrangement. The breakfast restaurant is in the same style. From the restaurant you go out to the terrace where you can drink tea or enjoy Turkish coffee. There we met Emirdzan and Hakan, who will serve you or help you if you have any questions. Very accommodating. I must also mention the wonderful girl at the reception, Merve. Very kind, speaks English and is always smiling and helpful! There is a free parking lot in front of the hotel, and there will always be a spot waiting for you. We will definitely come back to this hotel again. After reading some bad comments, I wasn't sure if we were talking about the same hotel?! Someone wrote that the street is old and narrow...YES, it is the old part of the city that was the second capital of the Ottoman Empire 600 years ago! That's the charm, being in the center and in those little streets! Until the next...
Read moreI liked the hotel and booked it with Booking.com. Upon arrival the receptionists were very nice and put us in a room with a double bed, instead of two single beds as the reservation had stated.
At first glance the room was okay - they had left us towels and slippers, I also liked that the TV was smart.
But I didn't like some things - the pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the bed linen was not okay. In the afternoon there was constant shouting and very loud noise in the hallway.
And what disappointed me the most was that there was hot water in the sink in the room, but not in the shower. At the reception they told us that there was a problem with the hot water, but the technician had already left.
Maybe it's not like that in other rooms, but it was a uncomfortable...
