KievInn — Hotel in Kyiv

I was with Krystle mize on the long weekend of 22-25 October. Everything was fine with the service until it was time to leave. We had some грн (ukranian money) that we had set to the side for our last cab fare before departing Ukraine, therefore we did not want to use an Uber and charge it to the card and be stuck with this cash that was not worth converting back to euros or dollars. We asked the front desk to please order us a taxi, and this lady with dark hair (only saying this because the blond lady was very kind and helpful to us before) along with a gentleman told us that they were going to call their private cab service, because it was private we had to pay at the hotel. She said it would be 600 грн. Which sounded reasonable as that’s how much we paid from the airport to the hotel. She took the money and put it in the drawer of the desk.we thought that this was weird, so before getting in the cab, we asked the driver if we had to pay to him? Me tried telling him that we payed the hotel, but he seemed not to understand us, we had a plane to catch and we just vested our trust in this hotel. When we arrived to the airport he asked for 400грн and then magically he could speak English and said that: “why would you pay fare to the hotel?”. I had to go inside the airport and exchange more money to pay him. I am sure the hotel and this particular “cab” driver have an agreement to rip off tourists. DO NOT STAY HERE! You will get ripped off. In a country like this instead of trying to boost the economy of small businesses it’s better to go the extra mile and stay at a hotel that has a name to...

Our stay in Kyiv was great until it was time to leave. We requested the receptionist at the front desk to call us a taxi. She told us that they have a taxi service through the hotel and to pay them at the desk and our taxi would take us to the hotel. As soon as we arrived at the airport, our taxi driver requested payment. We tried to call the hotel to have them confirm the payment and they would not speak with us and hung up on us. Do not stay at this hotel. I would absolutely NOT recommend and when I visit Kyiv again, I will NOT stay here.

Edit to add response to owner It was not an UBER driver. We did not use our UBER app to request the driver as we wanted to pay cash. You did call us a taxi and you did trick us....

I know KievInn since 2011. Now it is my rest place when I come in Kiev for my job at least three time by year. Due to its location in the center, it is an excellent place to stay in Kiev. The apartments are very well designed, well equipped, nice kitchen place and bathroom which, for most of them I used, have a modern shower place, jakuzzi and some a sauna. Beds are confortable and of king size. Reception staff are professionel, speaking good english, nice, and I'm sure will help you in any case as they did for me.
