Geneva Park Hotel — Hotel in Odesa Urban Hromada

Website says transfer from airport is 350 uah so I booked it. No response so day before I messaged to confirm. Was told it was now 500. Our flight was just over an hour late. Driver was not happy and at hotel we were told an extra 100 was required for waiting. (Consider that an UberXL which was a much better car on return from the hotel to the airport was less than 100 all up and you can decide for yourself.)||First night was hell. Sound proofing between rooms is ok but between floors is non existent. Around midnight the couple upstairs decided a long night of moaning and testing the bed springs was in order accompanied by pumping house music. We were underneath the action. So every room here is a gamble.||Next morning we were relieved when we found out they had checked out otherwise we would have changed hotels for the first time ever.||Otherwise room is ok. Wifi pauses from time to time. ||Breakfast is in a small room. We always found a seat. One lady cooks the same thing each day we were there and the kitchen is downstairs so she doesn’t always manage to keep up with demand. And it’s the same things each day. Scrambled eggs, salami, cheese, juice, cakes and I never could work out the coffee machine.||Location is good. A couple of blocks from the main shopping and restaurant locations and also a couple of blocks from some pretty good beaches. It’s in a courtyard of an old building which is pretty good and means you get no noise from the street. Walking was pleasant and safe.||There are plenty of mini markets (including 24x7) and supermarkets very close by. Just around the corner is a 24 hour pharmacy.||The front desk wanted cash rather than credit card otherwise they generally hid in their room behind the desk. They only came out if you stood at the desk observed by webcam I presume. No tips or local knowledge.||Take a gamble if you want, maybe ask for a top floor room but personally I would be trying somewhere else.||We quite enjoyed Odessa and two days was enough unless you like small museums and Black...

Location - good, 10 minutes walk from city centre. Same time - silent and safe. Staff is very helpful, really friendly and proactive. Room comfort - well, sleeping quality also good.||Negative (but it's defect of every such hotel globally) - sound isolation from indoor noise is quite poor. If hotel will be full of visitors - it could be problem (not our case).||Bathroom equipment - ok, working properly, TV, wi-fi - out of any claims.||Air refreshment and conditioning - normal, no problems.||Parking is small (just in front of hotel) but carefully kept and supervised. If you need parking - better to announce hotel in advance.||Price is normal, especially considering level of room comfrot and room size (quite big) for such kind of hotels.||Breakfast - terrible. It's not a breakfast, it's a kind of Odessa humor. Actually nothing was ok - shortage of fork, plates, cups. Shortage of food (omelet I saw 1 time of 3), ham and cheese appeared randomly, no yogurts. You can get more or less normal breakfast only af you'll be lucky to step-in in lucky time to meet cup, cheese, ham, pancake and omelet together. I did not.||In general - hotel is good mostly due to staff, location and room comfort.||I can recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to get trip to Odessa - Geneva Park Hotel will not break your positive impression...

Розташування досить хороше - тиха, не людна вуличка, поруч розташована пекарня зі смачною випічкою (працює лише в будні). Готель близько до центру, парку Шевченка та пляжу Ланжерон, не дуже далеко до вокзалу - ми дійшли пішки хвилин за 15. Можна залишити речі в кімнаті адміністратора до заселення, що ми, власне, і зробили. Усі адміністратори та працівниці їдальні були привітними, на прохання відкликалися. За попереднім запитом нам надали 2 номери поруч, за що ми дуже вдячні - у нас був спільний балкон зі столиками, це є плюсом для сімейного відпочинку, але недоліком для сторонніх людей. Номери гарні, але це на перший погляд (чому саме так я розпишу в мінусах цього готелю), особливо сподобалося поєднання дерев'яної стелі та цегляної стіни за ліжком та те, що датчики диму працювали, тихо було на поверсі. Матрац, ковдра і подушки були зручні, що дуже важливо в подорожах на кілька днів, постіль та рушники чисті - їх міняли практично при нас. В номері був фен, гелі для душу та шампуні, холодильник, кондиціонер, направлений не на ліжко - це однозначний плюс. Також варто відмітити не дуже різноманітні, але смачні сніданки, зокрема, найсмачніший омлет в Одеських готелях, який я тільки куштувала, млинці з творогом і малиновий джем, а на День Незалежності для гостей приготували додаткове частування, що теж було приємно.

Не сподобалося · Але, не дивлячись на всі плюси цього місця, зустрічала нас пані, що прибирає номери, не дуже коректно, або, скоріше, зовсім не коректно. Ми - гості, які приїхали на час заселення 14:00 (про що попередили адміністратора завчасно о 7 ранку, коли залишали речі), втомилися з дороги, отримали ключі у адміністратора і все, чого ми хотіли - це просто потрапити в номер і відпочити. Але ні - номери виявилися не готовими, прибирання в одному з номерів завершувалося, в іншому навіть не починалося, а пані, яка йшла туди грубо нагримала на нас, що "через таких-пересяких пожильців, що не виселяються вчасно, вони не встигають прибрати і ще й ми тут прийшли". Вибачте, але це не моя робота виганяти Ваших пожильців і в тому, що вони не виселилися я не винна. На цю ситуацію адміністратор запропонувала посидіти внизу на дивані і замінила пані на більш привітну дівчинку. Як виявилося, номер втомився від життя не менше, ніж пані від роботи і людей. Сейф не працював, в одному з номерів не було мила, тюлі в номерах просто відсутні і якщо ви хочете перевдягтися (а навпроти ще корпус готелю), то закривайте штори і вмикайте світло, стілець брудний, а на ліжку пил витерто тільки до половини.
