Il Decameron Clubhouse Odessa — Hotel in Odesa Urban Hromada

I stayed at this hotel at the last week of September 2021 for a couple of days and booked through the hotel itself because I had a few questions regarding the stay. ||||The staff of the reservations department were really friendly and helpful. In particular Dmitriy who helped me with my reservation. I booked a superior room including breakfast and including airport-shuttle. Breakfast rate was around 11,50 euro and the airport shuttle was around 20 euro per one-way. Both felt a bit expensive, but I didn’t want to made the effort to arrange the taxi myself. ||||The trip from the airport to the hotel took around 30-40 minutes and this amount of time is dependable on traffic. Odessa is notorious for it’s traffic-jams so don’t be surprised if it is taking you longer to your destination. ||||At check-in the reception ladies were really kind, nice and could speak good English. I was even pleasantly surprised that I got my late check-out which I asked for. During my stay the service of these ladies was excellent. They arrange a couple of times a taxi for me and even a bouquet of flowers. ||||The (superior) room itself was nice. (Room number 507) With a clean bathroom, clean bed and like described on the website. The only problem I had was that around the evenings I could hear my above neighbour making noises by walking/running on the floor. I didn’t report it to the hotel, because eventually the noise stopped. ||||Housekeeping staff was friendly, quick and good speak sufficient English to make myself understood in English to them. The service of laundry was good and very quick. Prices were average like any other 5 star hotel.||||Breakfast was ok, just I had the feeling that the choice of buffet items was limited. Just a few options for bread, but enough hot dishes (e.g. eggs and sausages). Also the staff attention to the guests was limited. On all occasions I had to asked for a coffee and/or a tea myself instead of someone came to me and asked me what I would like to drink. These options where also not available for self-service on the buffet.||||I didn’t had lunch in the restaurant, but I did had dinner. The service for the dinner was much better than the breakfast service. The gentlemen servicing me was kind, honest and his level of English was perfect. In the end I ordered a giant piece of steak which he honestly told me that it was huge. I can definitely recommend the steak (see picture). ||||All by all I had a good stay, from start to the end with maybe some little aspects to improve. I can recommend this hotel if you are looking for a premium location in the city centre close to all great sightseeing places and if you don’t want to make effort in arranging all services like...

Just got back from a wonderful stay in this hotel.||||Booked superior room via booking.com, however upon arrival upgraded to a junior suite, which was pretty cool and thank you very much for this!||||The suite was massive, spacious, fantastic shower and everything you could possibly need.||||Location of the hotel great, in the heartbeat of the city.||||Staff seemed good, able to communicate in various languages which helped myself and partner.||||Good selection of food for breakfast.||||Very, very good value for £££. I cannot stress this enough. Interms of the room, one of THE nicest rooms I have ever slept in globally. Superb.||||If the hotel want to improve further, my recommendations would be - ||* Minibar prices. Come on, it's not 1972. Laughable. I realise the price of the stay was very good, however these are insulting at best. You're not alone in this, many hotels seem to think this antiquated idea is worth adopting. It really isn't.||* Again if I'm going to be picky, the quality of ingredients for breakfast could be better. Coffee not great. Only saying this as your star rating is 5. HOTEL IN GENERAL (5/5): A new brand hotel (about 3 years at the time of writing this review) Modern Design Hotel has no Fitness at the moment but it is under construction which I find very important. Location in City Center. about 7 minutes by walk to the attraction. Good value of the money.

RECEPTION (5/5): Imagin you arrive at hotel after 6 hrs headake with authorities and two nice ladies at reception welcome you and being very helpful with your check in. Bellboy was nice and very helpful as well.

BREAKFAST (4/5): Comparing with other 5 star hotels, refill was good quality good, very fresh variety could be better

ROOM (5/5): We had Superior with kitchen if I am not mistaking. Bathroom and room totally was big. So many place in 4 closets as well. 2 at the entrance and 2 at the sides of the bed. Try to get the rooms from back yard since rooms with windows to the main street are noisy and loud.

CLEANESS (5/5): very clean. Nothing to compain.
