We arrived at the hotel on Friday night—two adults and one child. Upon arrival and check-in, we discovered (after entering the room) that we had been given a different room than the one we booked and paid extra for. Based on the photos on the hotel’s official website, we selected a PREMIUM room with a sea view. However, upon arrival, we were assigned a Premium room with a pool and sea view, which also had two single beds (!), only two towels, and was clearly prepared for two people only. We specifically chose a Premium room with a sea view knowing that the one with a pool view would be noisier due to the New Year’s Eve party, which we had no intention of attending. When we reported the issue to the reception that same night, the receptionist informed us that it was not possible to change to a room with at least a double bed or to add an extra bed for the child (who is 10 years old, so sharing a single bed with two people is challenging). The receptionist also insisted that the room we were in was a Premium room because it had a pool view (which we specifically wanted to avoid). I showed him photos from the hotel’s website that clearly showed the differences between the rooms, including different furnishings, decor, and overall setup, proving that we had been given a room of a lower standard. Nevertheless, the receptionist stuck to his position and promised that they would try to offer us a room with at least a double bed the next day (Saturday).
On Saturday, I returned to the reception—same story: fully booked, no available rooms for a switch, and no extra beds.
On my way back from the lobby, I noticed the door to a storage room near our room slightly open. Inside, there were several extra beds. I reported this to the resident representative and the reception—and suddenly, an extra bed magically appeared and was brought to our room.
Regarding the resident representative—many thanks to her. She was the only person who showed interest in resolving the matter. Both the travel agency Coral and Wakacje.pl did not care at all. They told us to call local numbers, which were unresponsive. Moreover, they refused to give us the contact details of the resident representative. She contacted us herself about a meeting at the hotel—purely by chance.
Once the extra bed was provided, we decided to let go of the issue with the Premium room (for which we had paid extra, I’d like to remind you), but we still experienced other inconveniences in the room. These were reported to the reception the next day after our arrival.
There were issues with the TV and a flickering light that could not be turned off. Despite repeated reminders, nothing was done, and no one even came to check.
One day, there was no water in the room. Later, when we returned from the city late at night, the door lock to our room broke.
Frustrated and dissatisfied with the hotel and its service, we decided to leave on Tuesday, despite having paid for our stay until Friday. I went to the reception to check out. The receptionist looked at the computer and mentioned that our stay was paid for until Friday. I acknowledged that but explained the situation (again).
The receptionist then called, presumably, a manager. The manager tried to convince us to stay at the hotel and then said they could move us to the Premium room we had originally booked. This confirmed that the room we had been staying in was, in fact, not the one we had reserved—contrary to what the hotel staff had been claiming.
The manager mentioned they had tried to contact us earlier that day—I have no idea how because I had no missed calls.
This information irritated me even more. We declined the offer and left the hotel three days early.
Frankly, I do not recommend this hotel. It is, by far, the worst hotel we have stayed at in terms of service (and we have visited...
Read moreCame back from Abu Dhabi a few weeks ago where I stayed at Royal M. And have to say overall this is a lovely hotel in a decent location but only if you want to use it as a place to stay whilst exploring Abu Dhabi. The staff are friendly (we had a lovely server called Edylin each evening who was amazing) and the hotel is clean and well maintained. We loved being at this hotel which made it easy for us to get to all the places we wanted to in Abu Dhabi, there is always at least one or two taxis waiting outside to take you where you need to go. The hotel has its good points and improvement points but if you need a place to stay whilst exploring Abu Dhabi, I would recommend. Below I have outlined some stuff about the hotel that might be of use if you are looking to stay (bearing in mind this is from an all inclusive point of view whilst being there at the beggining of their tourist season): Rooms: We had booked the premium sea view room. The rooms are big with plenty of space and have a lovely clean bathroom as well. In the room you get a lovely queen size bed which is super comfortable, a tv (which only has the news channels as english speaking channels, though that didnt bother us at all), room slippers, tea and coffee facilities and water (all free) as well as a mini fridge with some soft drinks (which are charged extra if used). Please bear in mind that majority of the rooms do not come with a balcony and I believe its only the suites that come with a balcony. The bathroom is home to a rather large shower (power shower and rain shower) with a bathtub inside the shower area which was a nice touch. Pool: The pool was a let down as you couldn't physically swim in it. Whilst being an infinity pool, you could only sit inside the pool to have your body somewhat submerged as I believe the height is not even a meter deep. There are plenty of sunbeds including the cabanas and we had no difficulty getting one no matter what time we decided to go to the pool. There is also a pool bar which is open until about 5pm.
Dining/Drinks: We had an all inclusive package so food and drinks were included with our stay. The timings for dining were very reasonable with breakfast being from about 7-10am, a lazy breakfast with coffee, tea and pastries (in the lobby) from 11am-12pm, lunch from 1-4pm and dinner from 7-11pm (these timings are approximate as I can't remember the exact times). The buffet was quite small compared to other places I have been however I have to say it is by far the tastiest buffet I have ever been to with all of the food having great flavour, that includes the desserts which had the flavours they were meant to have!! The only downside is the limited alcohol selection for the all inclusive as any other drink costs extra. That being said if you like a simple drink then you will be fine, however if you like a cocktail then you are very limited in what you can have unless you are willing to pay extra (charges per drink are equivalent to about £15) and the all inclusive drinks service is only until 11pm, after this you have to pay for drinks if the bar is still open. Online posts suggest there is a nightclub, however this is incorrect as we were informed that it had closed down.
Shisha: Shisha is offered in the outside area by the pool and is approximately £15 per shisha (this is for alfakhar in a khaleel mamoon pot)
Spa/Gym: Whilst we did not use the gym or spa, we checked out the gym which was small but fully equipped and open until late (it might have been open 24hrs but not 100% sure on that). We check out the prices for massages at the spa and thought them to be a bit too high (almost double the price I pay in London) at about £120 for swedish massage.
All in all, a lovely and clean hotel if you want to use it as just a hotel/place to sleep and actually explore the beautiful city...
Read moreI am writing this review immediately after my week-long stay in this hotel to have the best experience. I would never come back to this hotel - it was my first time on an all-inclusive holiday, but thanks to this place, it will definitely be my last. The place definitely does not look like in the photos, the rooms are not as clean and well-kept, in one room number 205 my friends had disgusting humidity, in our room 410 there was a nice view but there was no hair dryer, which I asked for a dozen times. The ladies at the reception gave us a list of what is included in all inclusive, including the breakfast option for the lazy - but as it turned out in practice, we couldn't have it and immediately after each meal such as breakfast, lunch and dinner, the hotel did not offer any meal to the guests. snack. If you want to order coffee by the pool, you have to pay, but if you go to the hotel lobby yourself, it's already free - ridiculous. The food in the hotel was of poor quality, strangely enough it was the same thing every day, no variety, no other options - nothing - as a result you eat the same thing every day and the sight of it makes you feel sick. I recommend taking Chinese soups with you. The manager of the restaurant for breakfast and lunch is very nice, helpful and involved - thank You a lot for this and to organize bitthday Cake for our friend ❤️but the chef cook definitely cooks as if it were tasteless food in a hospital. The service at the pool was very nice - the gentlemen were smiling, friendly and really fantastic! Thank you for this! ❤️ The worst thing we remember is the evening bar - the service was rude, arrogant and problematic - we sat down at tables with other guests' plates on them, we waited an hour for the waiter to clean it and bring us drinks - and he did it in such a rude way that we were unpleasantly surprised - no We just left because we didn't want to make any problems, but the next few days were just as much of a problem - the same waiter is there every day and his arrogant attitude and inappropriate behavior got worse and worse - when he threw the bill to be signed in my friend's face - we called the manager, but no one wanted to ask him so we called the hotel reception to ask for intervention. How terrible is the fact that you have an all-inclusive hotel and you are afraid to order food and drinks lest the waiter give you saliva out of spite or, even worse, other additions! The manager changed our service and as an apology, the kitchen sent us a NOTE - after midnight the night before departure, when each of us was sleeping soundly - waking everyone up, plates of dinner and a plate of fruit for each of the three rooms - we got scared and didn't accept it - in the morning I reported it to reception, but no one knew who it was and why so late and they pretended that they had nothing to do with it - so according to their assessment, someone from outside came in and woke us up after midnight with plates of food - our transfer was at 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. it was time dinner - I asked the receptionist in the morning if it was possible to prepare a box with some food for us, because our departure flight is only at 5 p.m. and we will miss dinner, and breakfast lasts until 11 a.m. - she said she can't do anything - but they can send dinner from the kitchen at midnight!? It's really pathetic and I'm sorry that other very nice people involved in this place have to suffer because of such behavior - I will never recommend this...
